The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders</li>\n <li>Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties</li>\n <li>Cross-training officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently</li>\n <li>Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management</li>\n <li>Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders</li>\n <li>Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervision</li>\n <li>Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officer assigned to his/her shift.</li>\n <li>Ensure that contract required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met</li>\n <li>Maintain overtime to minimum or to a predefined level designated by Allied Universal®</li>\n <li>Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift</li>\n <li>Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment</li>\n <li>Current and valid driver’s license</li>\n <li>Must possess one or more of the following: </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Associate’s degree of higher in any discipline</li>\n  <li>Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard</li>\n  <li>Service in auxiliary police or police cadets</li>\n  <li>Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating the following:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Excellent customer service skills</li>\n  <li>Ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations</li>\n  <li>Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Effective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately</li>\n <li>Planning and organizing skills</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications</li>\n <li>Problem solving skills</li>\n <li>Coaching, mentoring, motivating skills</li>\n <li>Active listening skills</li>\n <li>Encourage effective teamwork</li>\n <li>Assess and evaluate situations effectively</li>\n <li>Synthesize facts, concepts, principles</li>\n <li>Identify critical issues quickly and accurately</li>\n <li>Compile, sort, and interpret data</li>\n <li>Research, investigate, compile information</li>\n <li>Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy</li>\n <li>Setting and achieving goals</li>\n <li>Attending to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>BENEFITS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance</li>\n <li>Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements</li>\n <li>Seven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked</li>\n <li>40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments.
