Description

Overview ViaPath is currently seeking a Tablet Repair Supervisor to join our growing team. The Tablet Repair Supervisor will be based at the customer site and will be responsible for supervising a team of currently incarcerated individuals within the NC Deptartment of Corrections. The team is responsible for repairing, re-qualifying, and refurbishing ViaPath Android tablet computers including testing, component replacement and configuration broken tablets. Position will be based at the customer site located in Burgaw, NC. Responsibilities Supervise a team of incarcerated individuals responsible for repairing tablets in the production shop located on customer site. Provide on-the-job training to team members in the manufacturing, processing, and/or shipping of products. Ensure that the team members register and fulfill the training according to work processes as defined by United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Apprenticeship Program. Perform and supervise the set up and maintenance of equipment. Provide all applicable safety training to team members for assigned areas of supervision. Repair, re-qualification, and refurbishment of ViaPath Android tablet computers including testing, component replacement and configuration. Materials coordination to include handling and unpacking / packing of inbound and outbound tablet computers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial setting (e.g., production, repair warehouse/logistics facility, etc.) or experience working in a technical setting within a corrections environment required, to include a minimum of 2 years of related technical experience (e.g., technical repair, tablet support, etc.) Minimum of 3 years of management and/or leadership experience required Proficient in Windows OS and MS Office Suite Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on work assignments while meeting competing deadlines Ability to lead and motivate a team Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and be able to work with team members to move equipment up to 50 lbs Ability to follow production schedules and monitor quality of work Ability to resolve operational problems Ability to pass customer training requirements and implement processes and procedures following custody policy and procedure protocols Must be willing and able to travel, travel will be limited.
