As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll nurture learners ages 1-2 years. You’ll join a passionate, mission-driven team that values collaboration, professional growth, and creating an environment where both children and educators can thrive.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Please note: We are continuously accepting applications and will reach out to qualified candidates as positions become available.</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support a classroom of up to 11 students alongside a dedicated teacher, ensuring a low student-to-teacher ratio and personalized attention<br></li>\n<li>Implement lessons using the STREAMin3 Curriculum, supporting the development of the whole child<br></li>\n<li>Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children<br></li>\n<li>Be positive, approachable, and professional in interactions with parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members<br></li>\n<li>Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information<br></li>\n<li>Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates the values and beliefs of all families<br></li>\n<li>Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in monthly staff meetings<br></li>\n<li>Be flexible and team-oriented, assisting with other responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 years in Early Childhood Education preferred <br></li>\n<li>North Carolina Early Childhood Certification (EDU 119) preferred<br></li>\n<li>Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform all duties safely and effectively<br></li>\n<li>Meets all North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (NCDCDEE) requirements to work in a licensed child care program</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule &amp; Shifts:</span><br>Our standard shifts are 7:00am - 4:00pm, 8:00am - 5:00pm, or 9:00am - 6:00pm, each including a one-hour paid break. We do our best to honor shift preferences and maintain consistency, though specific schedules cannot be guaranteed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span><br>Annual salary in the range of $29,000 - $32,000, based on education and experience.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span><br>At Spark Academy, we believe in taking care of the people who care for our students.
