      "content": "\n<li>As an EMT-B at Paramedic Services of Illinois, you will be an integral part of our team, responding to emergency calls and providing essential medical care to patients in need.</li>\n<li>Respond promptly to emergency calls from dispatch centers.</li>\n<li>Assess the scene of an emergency to ensure the safety of all parties involved.</li>\n<li>Conduct primary and secondary assessments of patients to determine the nature and extent of illness or injury.</li>\n<li>Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.</li>\n<li>Administer basic life support procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, and airway management.</li>\n<li>Control bleeding, treat wounds, and perform splinting for fractures.</li>\n<li>Safely transport patients to medical facilities using ambulances or other emergency vehicles.</li>\n<li>Monitor and care for patients during transportation, maintaining communication with medical personnel at the receiving facility.</li>\n<li>Complete and submit detailed patient care reports and other required documentation accurately and promptly.</li>\n<li>Maintain records of ambulance operations and supplies.</li>\n<li>Inspect, clean, and maintain emergency medical equipment and supplies.</li>\n<li>Ensure the ambulance is clean, well-stocked, and in good working order.</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and other first responders as necessary.</li>\n<li>Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay updated on the latest medical practices and protocols.</li>\n<li>Attend refresher courses and continuing education sessions as required by certification boards and employers.</li>\n<li>Educate the public on safety, first aid, and emergency response techniques.</li>\n<li>Participate in community outreach programs and health fairs.</li>\n"
