This is an excellent opportunity for certified athletic trainers and related professionals to share their clinical expertise with undergraduate students preparing for entry into professional athletic training programs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsibilities<br>Adjunct faculty may be assigned lecture and/or lab courses in areas such as:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Introduction to Athletic Training and Sports Medicine</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Evaluation and Assessment of Athletic Injuries (upper and lower extremity)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Therapeutic Modalities</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Therapeutic Exercise and Rehabilitation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Emergency Care and First Aid in Sport</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Taping, Bracing, and Protective Equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Clinical Skills / Pre‑AT Practicum seminars</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Additional responsibilities include:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preparing syllabi, laboratory experiences, and assessment tools aligned with program outcomes and CAATE‑aligned pre‑professional expectations</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Providing demonstration and supervision of psychomotor skills in a lab/clinical classroom setting</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Emphasizing evidence‑based practice, documentation, and professional standards of care</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Providing timely feedback and mentoring to students exploring athletic training as a career</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborating with program faculty to ensure alignment between didactic coursework and clinical expectations</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Master&rsquo;s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Current certification as a&nbsp;BOC‑certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Eligible for, or holding, appropriate state licensure for athletic training practice (if applicable)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum of&nbsp;2 years of recent clinical experience&nbsp;as an athletic trainer with physically active populations</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication skills and commitment to student‑centered education</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preferred Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collegiate or professional athletics clinical experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prior experience teaching, precepting, or supervising athletic training students or interns</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with CAATE standards and professional preparation pathways</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with simulation, skills check‑offs, and competency‑based assessment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with learning management systems and basic instructional technology</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Application Materials Required</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Cover letter describing clinical background, teaching interests, and availability</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Curriculum vitae or r&eacute;sum&eacute;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Copy of current BOC certification and state license (if applicable)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contact information for three professional references</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Unofficial transcripts (official transcripts required upon hire)</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Misericordia University, a vibrant community founded in 1924 by the Sisters of Mercy!
