Longevity.</em></strong></li></ul><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><br></span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>PRIMARY FUNCTION</strong>: &nbsp;Is responsible for supervising visits and providing a safe, secure environment, physically and emotionally, for children in alternate care by supervising visits with their natural parent(s) at Elk Hill facilities or another agreed-upon site.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB EXPECTATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>To supervise visits of non-custodial parents with their child(ren). This includes monitoring and, if necessary, intervening with the parent or child who demonstrated inappropriate physical or verbal behaviors.</li><li>To report as soon as possible any problems or concerns regarding a specific client, social worker or visitation request.</li><li>Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of youth and families, flexibility, a non-threatening manner, respect for youth&rsquo;s and family&rsquo;s autonomy, confidentiality, socio-cultural values, personal goals, lifestyle choices, and family interactions, and appropriate professional boundaries and ethics</li><li>Provide the number of hours per month/week contracted by the placing agency</li><li>Complete session progress notes for each session and provide to supervisor, as required</li><li>Attend FAPT, treatment team, or family engagement meetings as requested by supervisor</li><li>Maintain a driving record that meets the requirements of Elk Hill</li><li>Maintain liability coverage, at the level required by Elk Hill, on personal auto insurance policy</li><li>Participate in face-to-face supervision with supervisor at least once per month</li><li>Work cooperatively with all Elk Hill staff to improve the quality of the whole organization</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>CORE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work independently and without direct supervision</li><li>Experience working with children and/or adolescents</li><li>Willingness to travel and work non-traditional business hours</li><li>Exhibit consistent personal integrity in dealings with youth, families, co-workers, and agency personnel</li><li>The temperament to work with, and care for, children and families with special needs</li><li>Must demonstrate sensitivity to Elk Hill&rsquo;s service population&rsquo;s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>CREDENTIALS AND/OR EDUCATION</strong></p><ul><li>High-School Diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>Maintain valid driver&#39;s license and good driving record.</li><li>Maintain training in the administration of Naloxone and be willing and able to administer Naloxone in an overdose emergency</li><li>Maintain current certification in CPR and First Aid</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to traverse inside and outside of the property and other job sites including uneven terrain</li><li>Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>Ability to engage with mentor in a variety of activities, both physical and non-physical in nature, in both indoor and outdoor environments, and in a variety of weather conditions</li><li>Frequently lift up to 5 pounds, periodically lift up to 10 pounds depending on the activity engaged in</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>Frequent transportation of a client as needed or required</li><li>Frequent travel to other locations as needed or required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em>Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is at the forefront of what we do at Elk Hill, and we enforce respectful communication and cooperation between all.
