K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM is seeking dedicated individuals to contribute their time and expertise as long-term engagements to support our mission of providing STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Deputy Head of Curriculum Development and Training</strong> in the PODS (PrOgram DeSign) department assists in providing leadership, guidance, and planning to create and refine curriculum that aligns with JerseySTEM's mission. They play a key role in supporting College Students who volunteer as Program Instructors to deliver engaging STEM curricula to middle school girls.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with the Curriculum Development and Program Instructors Training team, assisting in overseeing subject-specific teams (e.g., Coding, Lab sciences, Engineering, etc.).</li>\n <li>Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members in coordination with the Human Capital (HUCA) department.</li>\n <li>Support the continuous improvement of JerseySTEM's Curriculum Design and Outreach Program implementation.</li>\n <li>Work with College Engagement to ensure the alignment of volunteer College students and the curriculum they will deliver.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Corporate Engagement to align curriculum with the interests of corporate sponsors.</li>\n <li>Represent PODS at Leadership Team meetings and contribute to budgeting, planning, and reporting activities.</li>\n <li>Contribute to strategic growth planning in collaboration with other JerseySTEM leadership.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Marketing to ensure support for relevant initiatives.</li>\n <li>Participate in strategic discussions within the organization to enhance efficiency.</li>\n <li>Attend virtual team meetings weekly: (Sundays 9pm EST).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Genuine concern about/interest in addressing the STEM education gender gap.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership and team-building abilities.</li>\n <li>Resourceful with a proactive attitude.</li>\n <li>Experience with K-12 schools as a parent, former student, or professional.</li>\n <li>Outreach experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience leading a function (e.g., team, department manager) and managing others.</li>\n <li>Comfortable working within a virtual environment using digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, Salesforce).</li>\n <li>Flexibility for day-time calls with school administrators during the work week is advantageous.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Time Commitment</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>3-6 Hours weekly</li>\n <li>6 months minimum</li>\n</ul>",
