Your primary goal will be to ensure that fire alarms are in proper working condition and compliant with relevant safety regulations. This position requires a strong knowledge of fire alarm types, components, and servicing procedures.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Verifies proper operation; prepares accurate and timely documentation for work performed.</li><li>Interfaces with inspection supervisor and dispatcher to ensure that all work is scheduled/handled.</li><li>Collaborates with customers to explain work to be performed and coordinate through jobsite conditions.</li><li>Resolves customer concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.</li><li>Ensures customer satisfaction and a positive customer experience.</li><li>Prepares timely inspection/ deficiency reports for submission to management.</li><li>Maintains and organizes truck inventory and all testing equipment.</li><li>Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Must have a strong work ethic.</li><li>Must be detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Performs other duties, as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Preferred Experience</u></p><ul><li>FDNY Certificate of Fitness: S-98&nbsp;</li><li>Must have one (1) or more years of experience inspecting fire alarm products or industry- related experience.</li><li>Must be proficient in the use and application of mobile app devices utilized for scheduling, payroll, and inspection reporting.</li><li>Must have a working knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, simulated battery testers, and aerosol smoke and carbon monoxide equipment.</li><li>Required to have a full understanding of NFPA 72 chapter 14&ndash; NEC &ndash; IBC and NFPA 101.</li><li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean record and be able to clear a drug screening upon request.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Physical Requirements</u></p><ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:</li><li>Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.</li><li>Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with &ldquo;on call availability&rdquo; and must be able to travel on short notice.</li><li>Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.</li><li>Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols.&nbsp;</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
