    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Custodian Shift Supervisor assists the Sustainability Custodial Management in the maintenance of casino structures, facilities, and grounds by managing day-to-day activities of subordinate Team Members. Directly supervises all work, work projects, special projects, and overall maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of all faculties.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Works closely and cooperatively with all other building and maintenance Team Members, all outside contractors, consultants, managers within the gaming operations, and appropriate personnel. </li>\n <li>Sets schedules for Team Members and assigns work.</li>\n <li>Responsible for maintenance of cleaning equipment.</li>\n <li>Ensures that all work is performed in compliance with applicable tribal, state, federal safety, and worked protection laws.</li>\n <li>Works with management to plan, schedule, and budget routine building and grounds maintenance activities.</li>\n <li>Completes Team Member evaluations and recommends personnel actions as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Keeps timecards and other paperwork. </li>\n <li>Takes requests for work and schedules accordingly.</li>\n <li>Reports to the Sustainability Custodial Manager any situations that may require attention or potential problem areas beyond their daily responsibilities. </li>\n <li>Assists with Casino promotional events, meetings, seating arrangements, and holiday decorations. </li>\n <li>Maintains awareness of utilities locations, electrical panels, A/C unit thermostats etc. and follows proper procedures should they require attention.</li>\n <li>Coordinates with other shift supervisors to ensure efficient use of labor and materials. </li>\n <li>Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate. </li>\n <li>Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or GED certificate.</li>\n <li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Facility Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.</li>\n <li>Three years of prior experience in a facilities department. </li>\n <li>Two years of prior experience in a supervisory or management position. </li>\n <li>Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends. </li>\n <li>Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.</li>\n <li>Native American hiring preference applies.</li>\n <li><strong>Innovation Orientation: </strong>Committing to create and search for new and innovative approaches to activities that enhance performance.</li>\n <li><strong>Functional Expertise and Usage: </strong>Acquiring and applying functional knowledge in an area of specialty that is not technical (for example, Sales, Finance, and Human Resources management).</li>\n <li><strong>Achievement Orientation:</strong> Being persistent and showing perseverance on achieving concrete and tangible results out of personal responsibility; getting optimum results from situations; being ready to take action and show tenacity in case of obstacles or resistance.</li>\n <li><strong>Oral Communication:</strong> Shaping and expressing ideas and information in an effective manner.</li>\n <li><strong>Written Communication:</strong> Expressing ideas and opinions clearly in properly structured, well organized, and grammatically correct reports or documents; utilizing language and terminology that is understandable for the reader.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Location</h2>3400 Highway 246\n<h2>Minimum Pay Rate</h2>$22.82 per hour\n<h2>Maximum Pay Rate</h2>$26.85 per hour",
