Other benefits include employer pension matching, shift differential, incentive/premium pay, free annual biometric screening and paid volunteer time off.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>RiverView is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Patient Access Representative (PAR)</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full-Time (.8 fte) - 64 hours per pay period - Admitting shift 3:00pm-11:30pm evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts <strong>Work schedule: </strong>Admitting shift 3:00pm-11:30pm evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts </p>\n<p><strong>Pay Range:</strong> $20.06 - $28.08 (D.O.E - dependent upon experience)</p>\n<p><strong>Job Status:</strong> Non-Exempt/Hourly, benefitted position</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>River View Health has an opening for a <strong>full time </strong>(64 hours every 2 weeks) <strong>Patient Access Representative.</strong>    This position would cover the 3:00pm-11:30pm evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Patient Access Representative:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Answers phones and schedules patients.</li>\n <li>Perform all duties related to the pre-registration, registration, and financial clearance processes for all patients.</li>\n <li>Greets and registers patients while collecting and accurately entering all information required for visit.</li>\n <li>Communicates clearly and effectively with patients and families, physicians, nurses and insurance companies.</li>\n <li>Performs insurance verification either real time or manual verification for eligibility.</li>\n <li>Performs point of service, collection of co-pays and other patient liability..</li>\n <li>Obtains signatures for all necessary documents.</li>\n <li>Safeguards and reconciles all monies collected daily in compliance to cash handling policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>This position will be cross trained to the Emergency Department for Patient Access responsibilities in that area when needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience</li>\n <li>Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in health care setting</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office</li>\n <li>1+ years of experience in a Patient Access setting</li>\n <li>1+ years of experience with an Electronic Medical Record such as Epic</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure accurate data entry for patient registration and scheduling</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment</li>\n</ul>",
