    "description": "<h2>Position Scope</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Position Scope</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NACG is seeking <strong>SKILLED GROUND WORKERS </strong>to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.  This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.</p>\n<p>For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to <strong>$33.74/hour</strong> as well as room for growth!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Where You’ll Be Working</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Site: Kearl</li>\n <li>Schedule: 14 x 7, 12-hour days (paid for 12 hours). 7 days, 7 nights and 7 off. </li>\n <li>Accommodations: Camp accommodation is provided.</li>\n <li>Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after rotation).</li>\n <li>Overtime: Overtime is included after 8 hours in the day or 44 hours in the week. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.  Successful candidates will become a part of that union.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What’s In It for You?</u></strong></p>\n<p>Benefits are important and we offer lots!</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Up to a combined rate of pay of $33.74/ hour</li>\n <li>Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck</li>\n <li>Night shift premium +$1.20 / hour</li>\n <li>Paid weekly </li>\n <li>Membership with one of the largest IUOE locals in North America </li>\n <li>Benefits and pension after 400 hours worked, including medical and dental benefits</li>\n <li>Transportation to and from site, save on gas expenses!</li>\n <li>PPE provided, just bring your own CSA certified steel toed boots</li>\n <li>Room for growth and future advancements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Steam cleaning equipment as required.</li>\n <li>Snow removal around shop and front parking lot (seasonal).</li>\n <li>Operating fork trucks for moving parts and other items.</li>\n <li>Operating company vehicles to pick up parts and move items as requested.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures.  </li>\n <li>Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE.</li>\n <li>Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> <strong><u>What Makes You the ONE</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2 years experience in a labourer role. </li>\n <li>1 year of previous mine experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Successful candidate must be physically fit, capable of lifting 50 lbs (will be doing a lot of lifting and working outdoors) and work well with others.</li>\n <li>A safety-first attitude</li>\n <li>Attentive and possess strong listening skills</li>\n <li>High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset</li>\n <li>Be proficient in English, both verbally and written</li>\n <li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License</li>\n <li>CSO Certification</li>\n <li>Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What's Next</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:</p>\n<li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract</li>\n<li>Provide a valid CSO and Wildlife Awareness (including Bear Awareness) tickets (Kearl Only).
