At Versiti, we are passionate about improving the lives of patients and helping our healthcare partners thrive.</p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Under the direction of the department leadership, prepares quality biological blood components within the prescribed time following regulatory and operational standards as specified in the Standard Operating Procedures and departmental procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shedule Mon-Friday 1:00 PM -9:30 PM rotating weekends</p>\n<p>option for 4 day week 10 hours as well  </p>\n<h2>Total Rewards Package</h2>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong>The target salary for this position is $19.87 per hour. The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Full-time regular employes are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays, Short- and Long-term disability, life insurance, 7% match dollar for dollar 401(k), voluntary programs, discount programs, others.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manufactures Red Blood Cells (RBCs), Fresh Frozen Plasma and Recovered Plasma</li>\n <li>Manufactures Neonatal RBCs. Sterile docks Pedipaks to Platelet Apheresis, Neonatal RBCs</li>\n <li>Performs leukoreduction of Whole Bloods and RBCs</li>\n <li>Manufactures Cryoprecipitate, Pooled Cryoprecipitate and Cryo Reduced Plasma</li>\n <li>Labels products to meet regulatory and inventory requirements</li>\n <li>Manufactures additional specialty products as needed by customer base</li>\n <li>Follows procedures pertaining to the proper storage of RBCs, platelet products and frozen products</li>\n <li>Performs and documents equipment function checks and QC as required</li>\n <li>Maintains a level of productivity that allows department to achieve production goals</li>\n <li>Works weekend, holiday rotations and on-call, as needed</li>\n <li>Other duties, as assigned</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Complies with all policies and standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma required</li>\n <li>equivalent required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Less than 1 year 1-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to read, interpret, and write documents such as operating forms, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals required</li>\n <li>Above average attention to detail and problem-solving skills required</li>\n <li>Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions required</li>\n <li>Aptitude for computers and data entry skills required</li>\n <li>Ability to manage interruptions in a fast-paced environment required</li>\n <li>Customer service and communication skills required</li>\n <li>Able to organize work to provide productive work flow needed in component manufacturing required</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work independently and with a team required</li>\n <li>Organized, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time required</li>\n <li>Be able and available to work a flexible working schedule as required based on volume and timing of blood collections required</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with limited written or oral instruction required</li>\n <li>Understands military time required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Tools and Technology</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine) required</li>\n <li>Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required</li>\n <li>Software systems (Blood Establishment Computer Systems, Title21) required</li>\n <li>Lab specific equipment, including, but not limited to: • Sealers • Centrifuge • Water bath • Scales required</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LT123</p>",
