This is how we create Customers for Life!</p>\n<p><br>We are looking for a Building Automation – HVAC Controls Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for the point-to-point checkout, proper automatic operation, and programming (as experience allows) of temperature control systems and related products for HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The role is primarily field based but may require occasional travel to branches within the area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verify proper operation of building controls.</li>\n<li>Identify and repair control system failures.</li>\n<li>Complete daily reports for customers and management.</li>\n<li>Provide documentation of any field changes.</li>\n<li>Report problems or changes to management immediately.</li>\n<li>Work individually or as a team to complete projects.</li>\n<li>Able to work after hours and weekends, if needed.</li>\n<li>Able to travel when required.</li>\n<li>Experience with building control systems (Siemens Desigo, Talon, Delta, KMC, JCI, Distech, Honeywell, etc.).</li>\n<li>Adheres to all Powers and customer safety standards.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate degree, or equivalent from two-year college or technical training; and/or:</li>\n<li>2+ years’ experience BAS.</li>\n<li>Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.</li>\n<li>Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral).</li>\n<li>Self-sufficient &amp; self-motivated.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of controls systems and how HVAC systems work in commercial buildings.</li>\n<li>Understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls drawings.</li>\n<li>Able to conduct yourself in a professional manner</li>\n<li>Ability to work in various site conditions and work environments.</li>\n<li>Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Credentials:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical circuitry and HVAC troubleshooting</li>\n<li>Experience installing and/or servicing HVAC or electronic controlled equipment.</li>\n<li>General understanding of basic computer networking.</li>\n<li>Microsoft Office applications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a Safety Sensitive position.<br><br>Powers requires pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.<br><br>Powers provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.</p>\n<p> </p>",
