You’ll be responsible for developing and executing reliability programmes for developing and qualifying our display technologies, as well as leading failure analysis. The display technologies are used in the next generation of Specs wearable computing devices such as Spectacles.</span></span></p><br /><p><span style=\"color:#000000\"><b>What you’ll do:</b> </span></p><ul><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Work with the wider operations team, engineering (EE, ME and NPI), designers, and contract manufacturers to plan and execute reliability testing to assess product durability and corrective action effectiveness, complete failure analysis, and implement corrective action  </span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Determine, develop, demonstrate and systematize methods of assessment for components, subassemblies and process required to ensure each meet quality and reliability requirements</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Provide subject matter expertise on reliability test methodology, measurement of device integrity, and test to failure approaches to understand design margin</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Implement data collection, storage and data reduction for the purposes of providing real time accessible data and communication of ongoing testing activities</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Support new technology developments: materials, processes, components and subassemblies using a systemic approach for risk prioritization and reliability growth.</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Support prototype builds with contract manufacturers</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Technology and strategy development</span></li><li style=\"color:#222222 !important\"><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span>Identify high risk failure modes early in the design life cycle and collaborate with other teams to evaluate and reduce risk.</span></span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Drive continuous improvement in FA capability and methods, reliability test, product reliability test outcomes and field Reliability for new products</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"color:#000000\"><b>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</b></span></p><ul><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Demonstrated history working with EMS to prepare then execute reliability test plans and with engineering teams to communicate results, then analyze, correct and validate solutions to reliability test failures.</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Demonstrated history completing and documenting failure analyses, inclusive of suggestions for corrective action and follow up validation testing</span></li><li style=\"color:#222222 !important\"><span style=\"color:#222222\">Experience personally operating and interpreting results of SEM/EDX, FTIR/DSC/TGA, CT X-ray, optical microscopy, OMM/CMM, Instron, potting/polishing cross-sections, and red-dye</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Solid understanding of Six Sigma concepts and demonstrated capability to run Weibull and other model based reliability analyses </span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span>Good understanding of the physics of failure and behind material properties (mechanical, electrical, and optical)</span></span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Able to prioritize duties and work well on your own</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Excellent interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Excellent documentation and communication skills</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Background working collaboratively with both internal and external partners, domestic and overseas</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"color:#000000\"><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></span></p><ul><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, chemistry, physics or equivalent</span></li><li style=\"color:#000000 !important\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">7&#43;
