Taking ownership of the pharmacological intervention, Nurse Practitioners/ Physician Assistants complete prescribe appropriate medications, and provide general medical counseling and referrals. Our medical provider team has the opportunity to meet monthly to staff cases and receives regular supervision from the Chief Medical Officer. This position will assist the designated prescriber at each facility, as the float prescriber.&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nNurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant duties may include:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tcompleting initial evaluations and assessing mental health &amp; physical health status at routine appointments\\r\\n\\tprescribing &amp; monitoring medications and educating clients &amp; their support system about the medication&rsquo;s purpose, appropriate dosage, and possible side effects&nbsp;\\r\\n\\tcollaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan\\r\\n\\teducating staff, clients, and other community partners about individual mental health needs&nbsp;\\r\\n\\tfollowing trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client care\\r\\n\\tassessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated\\r\\n\\tcompleting all documentation &amp; charting in a timely, client-centered manner&nbsp;\\r\\n\\tparticipating in on-call and rounding rotations for our inpatient facilities in Yakima\\r\\n\\tproviding treatment via telehealth to other clinics as needed\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nSchedule:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tMonday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, On Call rotation&nbsp;on average once a week&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nQualifications:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tMaster&#39;s or doctorate&nbsp;degree in nursing or nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization\\r\\n\\tOpen to new grads or experience as a Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant&nbsp;prescriber for the designated age group being served\\r\\n\\tRegistered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington or Physician Assistant Licensure.\\r\\n\\tFederal DEA registration\\r\\n\\tFirst Aid &amp; CPR certification\\r\\n\\tMust have valid driver&#39;s license and vehicle liability insurance\\r\\n\\tIn compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
