Oakworth Capital Bank is expanding to Charlotte, NC and has an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team! We are looking for a fulltime Banking Client Support Specialist that will play a vital role in supporting our current & future clients. An ideal candidate would meet the qualifications listed below, and more importantly, be able to demonstrate that they live by Oakworth Core Values ( G olden Rule, Character, Innovative Spirit, Professionalism, Work Ethic ).
Summary:
The Banking Client Support Specialist would provide an exceptional client experience when guests visit or call Oakworth Capital Bank. This role does not have sales or quota goals, but is asked to focus on the client experience. This role will lead our client lobby experience and is responsible for a variety of tasks including those listed below:
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
Successfully onboard new relationships.
Provide exceptional service to clients and associates.
Provide sales, processing, operational and administrative support to Client Advisors.
Manage daily client interaction/requests (phone, letters, and email).
Work with Client Advisors and other departments to monitor fraud.
Responsibility Details:
Serve as a first line of contact for existing clients assisting with general account or servicing requests including funds transfers, wire requests, account inquiries, payments, etc.
Work with Client Advisors to welcome onboarding of new clients, as well as obtain necessary information for new or additional client accounts as needed.
Providing excellent client service with the ability to stay positive in interactions with clients and fellow associates.
Welcome on-site visitors as well as answer calls and emails, determine nature of business, and refer to the appropriate associate if the need cannot be resolved in the lobby.
Processing account transactions effectively:
Process deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based upon regulation requirements and complete hold notices.
Process savings withdrawals; cash checks (verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity).
Review daily, any NSF’s for supported Client Advisors.
Work with Client Advisors to clear document exceptions as needed.
Work with other departments as needed to monitor for irregular account activity, safety of client assets, client servicing needs, etc.
Keeping the lobby and reception area in a neat and organized appearance for our guests.
Building great rapport with Oakworth clients.
Being a strong team player that works collaboratively with the Oakworth team to successfully support the daily functions and strategic deliverable.
Work in various online systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
1-3+ years of relevant banking experience is preferred
Proven success in previous bank branch operations role is preferred
Knowledge of security and cash control procedures
Understanding of general banking laws, regulations, and procedures
Proficiency in a core system and Microsoft Dynamics or a similar Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required
Excellent Communication Skills – verbal, written, listening
Team focused (collaborative, works well with others, supports team goals)
Acute attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to utilize technology resources
High level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive information

This role will lead our client lobby experience and is responsible for a variety of tasks including those listed below: \\n \\n\\nKey Roles/Responsibilities: \\n\\n\\n\\tSuccessfully onboard new relationships.\\n\\tProvide exceptional service to clients and associates. \\n\\tProvide sales, processing, operational and administrative support to Client Advisors.\\n\\tManage daily client interaction/requests (phone, letters, and email).\\n\\tWork with Client Advisors and other departments to monitor fraud. \\n\\n\\n \\n\\nResponsibility Details: \\n\\n\\n\\tServe as a first line of contact for existing clients assisting with general account or servicing requests including funds transfers, wire requests, account inquiries, payments, etc. \\n\\tWork with Client Advisors to welcome onboarding of new clients, as well as obtain necessary information for new or additional client accounts as needed. \\n\\n\\n\\n\\tProviding excellent client service with the ability to stay positive in interactions with clients and fellow associates. \\n\\n\\t\\n\\t\\tWelcome on-site visitors as well as answer calls and emails, determine nature of business, and refer to the appropriate associate if the need cannot be resolved in the lobby. \\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tProcessing account transactions effectively:\\n\\n\\t\\n\\t\\tProcess deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.\\n\\t\\tExamine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based upon regulation requirements and complete hold notices.\\n\\t\\tProcess savings withdrawals; cash checks (verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity). \\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tReview daily, any NSF’s for supported Client Advisors.\\n\\tWork with Client Advisors to clear document exceptions as needed.\\n\\tWork with other departments as needed to monitor for irregular account activity, safety of client assets, client servicing needs, etc.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tKeeping the lobby and reception area in a neat and organized appearance for our guests.\\n\\tBuilding great rapport with Oakworth clients.\\n\\tBeing a strong team player that works collaboratively with the Oakworth team to successfully support the daily functions and strategic deliverable. \\n\\n\\n\\n\\tWork in various online systems. \\n\\n\\n \\n\\n\\nQualifications and Skills:\\n\\n\\n\\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred\\n\\t1-3+ years of relevant banking experience is preferred \\n\\tProven success in previous bank branch operations role is preferred \\n\\tKnowledge of security and cash control procedures \\n\\tUnderstanding of general banking laws, regulations, and procedures \\n\\tProficiency in a core system and Microsoft Dynamics or a similar Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform is preferred\\n\\tProficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required\\n\\tExcellent Communication Skills – verbal, written, listening\\n\\tTeam focused (collaborative, works well with others, supports team goals)\\n\\tAcute attention to detail\\n\\tOrganizational skills \\n\\tAbility to utilize technology resources \\n\\tHigh level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive information\\n\\n\\nOakworth has been recognized as a Best Bank to Work For by American Banker Magazine for the last nine years, with six of those holding the top spot & ranking #2 in 2024 and 2025.
