    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>As a key member of the Samuel Automation’s Engineering team, you design custom automated manufacturing systems to meet our customers’ manufacturing commitments.&nbsp; You are responsible for designing, selecting and integrating a broad spectrum of components and sub systems.&nbsp; Your specialties may include pneumatics, fluid dispensing systems, vibratory feeders, lasers, vision systems and motion systems.</p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Create custom automated equipment designs to contract specifications and applicable design standards while meeting material budget requirement</li>\n <li>Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs.</li>\n <li>Analyzes drawings, and specifications to determine shape, dimensions, hardness etc. in the development of equipment, processes and products.</li>\n <li>Examine feasibility of using one or more machines to carry out sequential operations.</li>\n <li>Provide technical direction and support to Machine Builders and Technicians throughout the debugging phase</li>\n <li>Mentor junior designers</li>\n <li>Work with engineering and project managers to report status, raise issues, and assist where able.</li>\n <li>Participates in regular project status updates with project team and customers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>You’ll Be Great At</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Solving practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists</li>\n <li>Effectively presenting information to Samuel Automation employees and customers</li>\n <li>Working at advanced levels of design complexity&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Proficiently able to use SolidWorks and current office computer software</li>\n <li>Creatively visualizing in 3 dimensions, have a solid mechanical aptitude and thrive in an agile environment</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Level of Autonomy and Authority</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works without detailed supervision, but within clear guidelines, defined standards and specifications. Difficult, complex or unusual matters are referred to more senior authority</li>\n <li>May guide and monitor the work of other staff working on a project basis</li>\n <li>Provides input and makes recommendations to management in areas of improvement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Post-Secondary education in Engineering, specializing in Mechanical Design or equivalent (BSME degree is preferred)</li>\n <li>3+ years experience in solid modeling (Solidworks is preferred) in industrial automation with the proven ability to design and detail machined and fabricated parts to ANSI standards.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid passport and driver’s license, as well as the ability to travel to customer sites both locally and internationally&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-TS1</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>SAMOMM</p>",
