    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This position is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical activities of the therapeutic apheresis department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages, trains, mentors and develops assigned staff,</li>\n <li>Ensures adherence to SOPs, regulations, guidelines, practices and policies.</li>\n <li>Maintains quality patient care, process improvement plans and excellent customer service.</li>\n <li>Assists to achieve the financial objective of the department through annual budget and cost analysis preparation.</li>\n <li>Works in conjunction with medical staff to review all patient treatments and recommended treatment plans.</li>\n <li>Communicates with referring physicians and hospitals and acts as a professional resource.</li>\n <li>Assist the medical staff with operations planning and problem resolution to achieve program goals.</li>\n <li>Performs cell collection procedures as needed and assist in managing of studies.</li>\n <li>Develops and implements a continuous a quality improvement program and risk management activities.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement a staff training plan to ensure staff comprehension of all apheresis procedures, possible procedure related complications, new directives and regulatory guidelines.</li>\n <li>Assists marketing in establishing  procedural rates for new and existing customers and defining project margins.</li>\n <li>Exemplifies CBC's Customer Service Mission and Core Values.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates in meetings and committees as needed.</li>\n <li>Makes recommendations for improvements of business unit's processes and practices.</li>\n <li>Works on special projects as assigned.</li>\n <li>Any related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<p>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Experience:</p>\n<p>Five years of experience in nursing with at least three years in a critical care capacity, experience must include supervisory/managerial experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Any combination of education, training and experience that has suppled the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licenses / Certifications</strong></p>\n<p>Current RN licenses in Missouri and Kansas or ability to obtain license in a state in which not currently licensed within one year of hire.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</strong></p>\n<p>Knowledge:</p>\n<p>Knowledge of a variety of software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Skills & Abilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to interpret and analyze medical information accurately.</li>\n <li>Ability to teach and mentor.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain accurate paper and electronic records.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel and to work evenings/weekends as necessary.</li>\n <li>Strong management, leadership and supervisory skills.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail in all work processes.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to build partnerships locally and nationally.</li>\n <li>Ability to work indepenently with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively solicity, cultivate, and build relationships with constituents and organizations.</li>\n <li>High level of interpersonal skills t handle a variety of complex issues and situations.
