    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>The Specification Specialist reviews and develops project specifications and Scopes of Work to ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and company standards, using their expertise to select appropriate items based on project requirements.</p><p>We are looking for an Specification Specialist to support our Pacific Northwest Region.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Develop AIA MasterFormat specifications that comply with Tremco requirements, purchasing agreements, local building codes, and industry standards (NRCA, SPRI, Factory Mutual, etc.).</li><li>Develop specifications in compliance with IBC, IECC, and Tremco-specific requirements &amp; standards</li><li>Develop specifications based on individual project Scopes of Work, using expertise, experience, and best practices to select appropriate items.</li><li>Assist Estimators in understanding specifications for bid preparation and pricing.</li><li>Calculate wind-uplift design pressures based on project specifics.</li><li>Understand and apply 3rd party test reports for Tremco systems for specifications</li><li>Identify and resolve service, process, or quality system problems; ensure proper resolution implementation.</li><li>Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the specification development process.</li><li>Stay updated with compliance policies to ensure specifications and drawings align with contract agreements.</li><li>Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving building codes, industry regulations, and roofing standards by staying current with building code changes; escalate and implement necessary adjustments in design and construction practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure specification work is completed in a timely manner</li><li>Ensure specification work is compliant, clear, concise, correct, and complete.</li><li>Ensure compatibility of specified products.</li><li>Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with Program Managers, Construction Managers, Sales, Estimators, and Field Technicians throughout the specification development process to ensure contract requirements are specified.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate with Product &amp; Technical as needed throughout the specification development process.</li><li>Provide support to the Specification Specialist team and Product &amp; Technical Solutions Department to achieve company-wide goals and targets.</li><li>Maintain educational credentials</li><li>Responsibilities include any and all responsibilities deemed necessary by the manager</li><li>Utilize Tremco’s platforms for job and data management (E-builder, Spec Writer, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, etc.).&nbsp;</li><li>­Proficient in Tremco’s products and systems, including application, use, coverage rates, compatibility, and limitations.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient in UL Product iQ, RoofNav, Florida Building Code (NEMO reports) and NRCA Roof Wind Designer websites/programs.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>These additional duties may also be required depending on region:</p><ul><li>Prepare and review addenda and pre-bid documentation as needed.</li><li>Create AutoCAD drawings from detailed Scopes of Work.</li><li>Use established cost models to build a price for company bids</li><li>Assist &amp; train Sales Reps with the Specification process</li><li>Assist &amp; train in proposal/presentation preparation for key accounts</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>EDUCATION:</u></strong></p><p>Bachelor's degree or applicable 3-5 years of experience in Specifications</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p><p>3-5 years of applicable experience in Specifications; 2+ years of in-field experience preferred.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>American Institute of Architects (AIA) member</li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal;
