    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Journeyman Mechanical Engineer </strong>supporting an Air Force acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Armament Directorate Munitions Division (AFLCMC/EBH) at Hill Air Force Base, UT. In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide mechanical engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle to ensure weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment meet program objectives for cost, schedule, performance, and compliance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time onsite position at <strong>Hill AFB, UT</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Duties include, but not limited to: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Provide mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering support across the acquisition, development, and sustainment lifecycle.</p></li>\n <li><p>Apply advanced engineering principles to ensure technical efforts align with program objectives, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical recommendations supporting system and equipment performance.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support planning and execution of complex engineering tasks involving:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Statics, Dynamics, Tribology</p></li>\n   <li><p>Mechanical wear, Fatigue, Corrosion</p></li>\n   <li><p>Fluid dynamics, Thermodynamics</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Assist in the generation and interpretation of technical data packages, including <strong>2D drawings and 3D models</strong>.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support testing, evaluation, life prediction, and standardization of materials and material properties used in engineering design.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide technical inputs to briefings, technical reviews, and program documentation in support of Government decision-making.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support mission execution and program success.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Citizenship: Must be a US citizen</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>: </strong>Must have and be able to maintain an active <strong>Secret clearance</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 3 years of relevant experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience supporting Air Force or DoD acquisition programs</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience supporting weapon system development and/or sustainment environments</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong experience interpreting technical drawings and models in support of engineering decisions</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Technical Skills</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Mechanical engineering fundamentals (Statics, Dynamics, Wear, Fatigue, Corrosion, Tribology)</p></li>\n <li><p>Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics analysis</p></li>\n <li><p>Technical data package review (2D drawings, 3D models)</p></li>\n <li><p>Materials engineering concepts including life prediction and standardization</p></li>\n <li><p>Engineering support for acquisition, development, and sustainment programs</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Strong written and verbal communication</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong analytical problem-solving skills</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to collaborate effectively in IPT environments</p></li>\n <li><p>High attention to detail and ability to support multiple priorities</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Additional Information</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Hill AFB, UT<strong>Travel:</strong> Travel may be required at the customer’s discretion</p>\n<p><strong>Onsite</strong></p>\n<p><em><strong>Position may offer a 9/80 work schedule</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-TG1</p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Odyssey </strong>is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
