As a Capacitor Assembly Technician, you will apply your skills to build, modify and assemble components in a quality manner to achieve the desired finished product. Benefits
Benefits Employee Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave (must be employed at time of birth or adoption), short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 6%. Paid Time Off: 15 days per year based on weekly scheduled hours, 10 paid sick leave, and 13 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns. Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor assembly technicians, providing direction and support to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
Assembly Operations: Interpret technical drawings, work orders, manufacturing instructions, and process documentation to assemble capacitor components, subassemblies, and finished products according to specifications.
Production Coordination: Organize daily work assignments, monitor workflow, and coordinate resources to ensure efficient production schedules and on-time delivery of products.
Tool & Equipment Operation: Utilize and oversee the proper use of hand tools, power tools, assembly fixtures, testing equipment, and production machinery to support manufacturing operations.
Quality Assurance: Perform and verify quality inspections, in-process checks, and functional testing to ensure products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Process Support: Identify assembly issues, equipment problems, and product defects; implement corrective actions and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement: Support lean manufacturing initiatives, process improvements, waste reduction efforts, and productivity enhancements to optimize assembly operations.
Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while promoting and supporting 5S and continuous improvement practices.
Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Documentation & Reporting: Complete production records, quality documentation, and shift reports accurately while communicating production status, issues, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and management.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, supply chain teams, and other departments to support production objectives and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training, vocational certification, or associate degree in a manufacturing or technical field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience, with prior leadership or lead technician experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring manufacturing, assembly, or production personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Knowledge of capacitor manufacturing processes is preferred.
Ability to safely and effectively use a variety of hand tools, power tools, measurement instruments, and production equipment.
Strong understanding of quality standards, inspection methods, and root-cause problem-solving techniques.
Proven ability to troubleshoot assembly processes, identify defects, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex procedures and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and shifts.
Ability to foster a positive team environment and collaborate effectively with production, engineering, quality, and management personnel.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform precise assembly and inspection tasks.
Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, lift materials as needed, and work in a manufacturing environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
