Overview Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality? CoralTree is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team at Everline Resort & Spa , nestled in the breathtaking Lake Tahoe region. Just 40 minutes from Reno, NV, our resort offers a true mountain-town lifestyle with world-class skiing, hiking, and outdoor adventures right outside your door. As the Director of Finance, you'll provide daily management of the accounting department, including payroll, income audit, accounts payable, and general ledger. You'll be responsible for reconciling and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. In addition, you will assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting, including cash flow, and routinely provide financial support and analysis to leadership across the resort. As a valued member of the CoralTree team, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Discounted Palisades Tahoe Ski Pass Food & beverage, retail, and spa discounts Free rentals on ski gear, ice skates, nordic skiing, and golf course access Discounted rooms at Hyatt and CoralTree Properties Group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.* Participation in a pre-tax flexible benefit plan for healthcare and dependent care reimbursement.* An employee assistance program. Paid time off*/sick time Participation in a 401(k) plan with a company match. * For Full Time Year-Round Team Members Responsibilities Direct and assume responsibility for proper execution of the Resort’s accounting practices, maintenance of accurate financial records, and the timely preparation of financial reports. Utilize standard reporting to drive continuous improvement for the Resort. This responsibility also includes Resort financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash management. Assist in nurturing the important relationship with the Resort owners. Provide timely, concise monthly reporting for the Resort, custom reports as requested, respond quickly to questions or requests and participate in Partner and other appropriate meetings. Act as a liaison between Resort financial operations and the HOA board. Ensure that legal, fiduciary, reporting and financial service requirements of unit owners are satisfied. Complete the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Coordinate external auditor’s visits, respond to auditor requests, approve any and all adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final audit. Review historical and projected cash flows. Take required actions to ensure cash flow is appropriately managed. Communicate to the responsible Property Operations executive, Regional VP of Finance and others, including owners, as necessary. Supervise and participate in the preparation and review of all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, and involve the department managers in this process. Ensure all narratives are well written and explain why the variance occurred. Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the Resort, making specific recommendations that will result in cost reductions, profit improvement and benefit to the Resort overall. Organize and drive the annual budgeting process along with monthly forecast for the Resort. Monitor and assist in preparing the property budgets, capital budgets, development budgets and business plans. Ensure accuracy and completion of the budgets on or before the due date. Aid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plan. Check appropriation requests against approved budgets prior to committing funds; exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed authorized levels. Coordinate integration of the development financial activity into the operating activity with the result being concise, timely reporting for the overall Resort. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Hospitality background with 3 - 5 years experience with complex properties including food & beverage. Solution-oriented leader with previous supervisory experience required. Experience and confidence presenting to ownership. Experience working with HOAs. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 10lbs, occasionally lifting 25lbs. Bending and moving intermittently. Use fingers to grasp, move or type. Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor working environment and the noise level in the work place is usually low. Typical equipment used include but are not limited to computers, POS systems, handheld devices, phones and household cleaning supplies.
