[MP]</p><p>This is a position in Maintenance at Haywood Harrison Power Station.&nbsp;</p><p>This position is responsible for efficient and safe maintenance activities on all plant equipment and facilities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities include:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Overseeing and directing electrical maintenance activities for plant generating units and associated equipment.</li><li>Monitoring activities of nonexempt, physical employees and enforcing conformance to established work practices, rules, methods, and policies.</li><li>Implementing instruction and training of employees in the established work practices, methods and policies.</li><li>Identifying and understanding the causes of rework.</li><li>Interfacing with vendors and supply chain as related to assigned equipment and systems.</li><li>Ensuring weekly schedule compliance, Preventive Maintenance (PM) compliance, and completion of emergent working a timely manner.</li><li>Verifying and ensuring job closeout documents are complete and accurate for historical tracking.</li><li>Recognizing risks and taking precautions and preventative measures to ensure a safe work environment for others as well as themselves.</li><li>Coordinating work with other departments.</li><li>Requesting and coordinating equipment releases and outages as required.</li><li>Monitoring and documenting work habits of individual employees.</li><li>Counseling employees as necessary.</li><li>Conducting field surveys and preparing sketches and estimates of material and labor required in planning for various construction and maintenance activities.</li><li>Providing technical support for employees.</li><li>Maintaining close working relationships with other management personnel to maximize operational performance, such as equivalent availability, heat rate and start-up time.</li><li>Conducting work so that all employees, equipment, and the public are properly safeguarded.</li><li>Assigning, supervising, and completing the required reporting on all activities of an equipment service team involved in maintaining a power station and all power station equipment.</li><li>Coordinating activities with mechanical and electrical maintenance crews, operations, and bulk material teams.</li><li>Monitoring and maintaining the assigned backlog of assigned work orders daily per daily work management model standards.</li><li>Assuring quality history and documentation of work performed on critical equipment is captured in SAP.</li><li>Ensuring that the safety training and personnel development training of assigned employees is current.</li><li>Contacting vendors and manufacturers of station equipment to coordinate solutions to station problems and schedule manufacturer representatives.</li><li>Coordinating and administering assigned maintenance contractor blanket contract activities.</li><li>Working with the planners and coordinators to ensure quality job plans are in place for maintaining assigned equipment.</li><li>Maintaining safety standards and safe work habits of the equipment service teams and in general all station personnel.</li><li>Maintaining functional knowledge of hardware and software skills required to use computers and associated software as it relates to electrical maintenance-related functions.</li><li>Assuring that an effective team environment is maintained.</li><li>Supervising major internal maintenance projects on off shifts as necessary.</li><li>Directing electrical maintenance, it should state mechanical maintenance</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>directing electrical maintenance, it should state mechanical maintenance</li><li>In lieu of degree, a combination of career experience and training.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in a plant maintenance supervisory position with 10 years in a power plant facility or equivalent type of experience.</li><li>Advanced knowledge and experience in operations of supercritical fossil generating units.</li><li>Exceptional motivational skills, taking full ownership of all work assignments and tasks associated with this job description.</li><li>Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft applications.</li><li>PLC software proficiency preferred.</li><li>Must live or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance to the reporting location.&nbsp; This is an on-site position with limited ability to work from home.</li><li>Must monitor/utilize a cellular phone and be readily available to coordinate the staffing of emergent needs that occur outside normal work hours.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits, Compensation &amp; Workforce Diversity</strong></p><p>At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
