Description

Your mission Project Coordinator (PC) is senior field level management and technical position with focus on supporting local project partners in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting on education intervention under PlayMatters.  The project Coordinator   - PlayMatters 3.0 (PM3.0) will provide overall strategic, technical, and operational leadership for the implementation of the PlayMatters programme in WCA with local implementing partners. The Project Coordinator reports to Head of Programmes and in charge of field program and operations with local partners. The Project Coordinator supports project partners and is responsible on the project activities coordination Your profile Lead Partnership and Programme Management Lead planning, implementation, and performance management, ensuring delivery against workplans, budgets, and key performance indicators.  Coordinate and manage local partners in governance structures (e.g., Project Management Committee, Steering Committee), ensuring effective collaboration, accountability, and decision-making.  Oversee local partners and ensuring harmonization of approaches, alignment with consortium standards, and avoidance of duplication across consortium partners.  Maintain strong relationships with MoGEI, Education Cluster, Local Education Group (LEG), and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with national systems and priorities Provide Technical Leadership – Learning through Play (LtP) to local implementing partners Provide overall technical leadership on Learning through Play (LtP) integration across system, school, and community levels. Ensure quality design, adaptation, and rollout of the PM3.0 Core Package, including teacher professional development (TCPD), community engagement, and inclusive education approaches. Lead system strengthening efforts, including integration of LtP into teacher development systems, CPD structures, and national frameworks. Guide technical alignment with MoGEI priorities, curriculum frameworks, and inclusive education strategies. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Provide oversight into MEAL systems, ensuring effective tracking of results, quality assurance, and evidence generation. Ensure use of data and feedback mechanisms to inform adaptive management and decision-making. Ensure strong Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) systems, including feedback collection and response mechanisms. Promote a culture of learning, reflection, and continuous improvement across teams and partners. Budgeting and Financial Oversight Lead the development and regular review of project budgets and phased financial plans in coordination with finance and implementing local partners. Monitor budget performance (BvA) and expenditure trends, ensuring effective utilization of resources and value for money with local implementing partners. Provide oversight to local implementing partners on financial planning, forecasting, and reprogramming, ensuring alignment implementation priorities and donor compliance. Supports local implementing partners to timely submit quality of financial reports and contribute to donor financial reporting requirements. Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures to safeguard programme delivery and compliance with local implementing partners. Reporting, Coordination and Representation Ensure timely and high-quality donor reporting with local partners (monthly, quarterly, annual), including narrative and financial inputs. Lead internal reporting and provide regular updates to senior management and regional teams. Represents WCH on PlayMatters in national and sub-national coordination platforms, technical forums, and stakeholder engagements. Support dissemination of evidence, learning products, and policy briefs to influence sector dialogue and scale-up. Ensure visibility of PM3.0 achievements and alignment with consortium and donor communication strategies. How to Apply -Bachelor’s degree in education, Teacher Education, Curriculum Studies, or a related field required; Post Graduate Diploma, or master’s degree will be of added value.  - Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in education programming, including teacher professional development and programme management in humanitarian or development contexts. - Strong understanding of education systems in South Sudan, including teacher management, curriculum, and coordination structures. - Demonstrated experience in developing and adapting educational content or training packages, preferably in low-resource or crisis contexts. Application letters along with CVs with details of three most recent referees addressed to the Human Resources Department and the deadline for application submission is the 11th June 2026, shortlisting shall be done on rolling basis due to the urgency of the position.
