The Parts Team members at University Volkswagen and Audi Seattle are hard-working and fun-loving. We realize that our future success is determined by how well we exceed our customer&#39;s expectations today and guide them through the exciting new changes in the automotive world.&nbsp;</p><p>The successful candidate should have prior experience in an automotive parts department and will be comfortable switching between a sales role to the public and a support role to internal technicians. The Parts Counterperson will work closely with the Parts Manager and the rest of the Parts Team.</p><p>Any job offer will be conditioned on passing a drug test for the following substances: Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates, Methadone, Propoxyphene, Cocaine, Heroin, Codeine, Morphine, Amphetamines, PCP. <strong>We do not test for marijuana or THC.</strong></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assist customers in selecting required auto parts, suggest appropriate companion products, offer specials, and&nbsp;ensure that&nbsp;the customer is&nbsp;made&nbsp;aware&nbsp;of the&nbsp;full product line.</li><li>Communicate with customers regarding the status of their order in a timely and efficient&nbsp;manner.</li><li>Support service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in progress to ensure the&nbsp;accuracy&nbsp;of&nbsp;orders while&nbsp;trying&nbsp;to&nbsp;increase&nbsp;shop&nbsp;efficiency.</li><li>Support service technicians by ordering parts not in stock and coordinating with the service&nbsp;consultant&nbsp;and&nbsp;technician&nbsp;on&nbsp;arrival date.</li><li>Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external clients to ensure that they &nbsp;are happy to visit us and eager to return.</li><li>Process&nbsp;special&nbsp;orders&nbsp;and&nbsp;coordinate&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;Sales&nbsp;and&nbsp;Service&nbsp;departments&nbsp;for&nbsp;installation&nbsp;and&nbsp;delivery.</li><li>Maintain&nbsp;merchandising&nbsp;and&nbsp;displays.</li><li>Learn&nbsp;about&nbsp;products,&nbsp;features,&nbsp;and&nbsp;accessories.&nbsp;Attend&nbsp;product&nbsp;and&nbsp;training&nbsp;courses.</li><li>Make&nbsp;outgoing&nbsp;calls&nbsp;and&nbsp;handle&nbsp;incoming&nbsp;sales&nbsp;calls&nbsp;effectively.</li><li>Ensure timely follow up and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience as a parts counter person not required but preferred &ndash; on the job training available.
