Job Titlle: International Logistics and Import Export Specialist Direct Reports : No FLSA: Exempt Location: DTC or Pueblo Pay: $65,000-$85,000 (Denver) $60,000-$75,000 (Pueblo) Who We Are The Gulftech International family of companies are the world’s recognized leaders in engineering, manufacturing, lease, sale and service of industrial food processing machinery. Summary of Expectations · Prepare and review shipping documents, ensuring accurate classification of goods, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade agreements and tariffs · Monitor shipments, resolve issues related to customs clearance, and ensure that all import and export activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner, and in accordance with company policies and government regulations · Gather and analyze logistics data to assess and report on multiple steps of the shipment process · Create and maintain databases and/or spreadsheets with logistics data for reporting and compliance · Responsible for the development and implementation of logistics KPI’s and provide recommendations to the team for improvements and enhancements to processes · Develop, implement and maintain a customs compliance program · Responsible for the freight bill payment process, coding and auditing of shipments, to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments · Oversee the carrier freight claim process to ensure timely submission and completion of all claims · Prioritize and plan shipments with reference to production schedules, production management, customer service, various departments and colleagues to meet agreed upon customer ship dates · Process sales orders, dispatch and shipping documentation via ERP system and other associated software, carrier specific systems, and manually generated documents, as required · Timely communication regarding shipment issues such as shortages, overages, or damaged goods for resolution · Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, procurement, and customer experience teams to align logistics and inventory management strategies to meet business goals. · Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or control standards · Provide regular updates to senior leadership on logistics performance, and any challenges impacting the supply chain · Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure inventory aligns with market demand and customer requirements. · Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or issues in coordination with other departments. · Continuously assess and improve logistics and operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, standardization pack-outs, and improve service levels. · Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics and inventory management in compliance with industry and Company standards. · Maintain accurate records of shipments and distribution activities for audit and regulatory purposes. Includes all import and export documentation and related communications for a minimum of 5 years. · Ensure shipment status report and resolution of outbound shipments. Work cross function with sourcing on inbound shipments for appropriate planning. Summary of Qualifications · BA/BS degree in related field; or High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 5+ years of related experience · Advanced-level experience and knowledge of international import/export practices, including knowledge of tariff schedules and Harmonized System (HS) codes · Experience in supply chain or logistics · Vendor management experience, such as carriers, forwarders and 3PL’s · Experience with transactional work in ERP systems · Effectively leading without formal authority in a collaborative team setting · Keen attention to detail · Strong analytic and planning skills · Customs Broker License (LCB) is preferred, with comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations, import/export requirements, and international trade laws. · Exerience with inventory management systems (e.g., D365) and supply chain software · Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and compliance requirements in our product categories, where an when applicable within the United States or the foreign countries we sell to. · Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with and influence others from different functional areas · Effective negotiation skills · Willing to continue logistics education and training to advance skillset and maintain latest regulatory knowledge · Willing to travel domestically 15-25% of the time · Ability to navigate complicated government organizations and agencies to support business needs · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel · Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet targets and deadlines · Customer focused, both internal and external · Able to work in a team environment · Ability to work independently or as part of a team Compensation and Benefits: · Medical Insurance (PPO, HMO, & HSA options) · Dental Insurance · Vision Insurance · Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays · Employee assistance program (EAP) · Retirement - 401k with match · Retirement - Profit sharing · Free LTD Insurance · Free Life and AD&D Insurance · Paid Maternity Leave · Paid Parental Leave *The pay range for this role is a general guideline only.
