Working closely with fellow Emergency Medical Staff Managers, hospital leadership, and clinical teams, you will help drive departmental success and support the continued growth of our emergency services program.</p>\n\n<h2><strong>What You&#39;ll Do</strong></h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Provide leadership, oversight, and support to Emergency Department technicians, assistants, liaisons, and veterinary cleaning associates</li>\n\t<li>Partner with Emergency Department leadership and fellow Medical Staff Managers to ensure consistency in workflow, communication, and departmental operations</li>\n\t<li>Facilitate daily floor operations, staffing adjustments, and workflow management to support patient care needs</li>\n\t<li>Coach, mentor, and develop shift leads, key technicians, and medical support staff to promote professional growth and accountability</li>\n\t<li>Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, SOPs, medical record documentation standards, and quality assurance initiatives</li>\n\t<li>Monitor staffing levels and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient patient flow</li>\n\t<li>Support implementation of new protocols, initiatives, and process improvements throughout the department</li>\n\t<li>Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, client service teams, and hospital leadership to promote communication and teamwork</li>\n\t<li>Address staff concerns, provide performance coaching, and document employee development conversations as appropriate</li>\n\t<li>Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of medical support staff</li>\n\t<li>Assist in resolving client concerns and partner with hospital leaders to deliver exceptional client experiences</li>\n\t<li>Serve as a clinical resource and problem-solving partner for patient care challenges</li>\n\t<li>Analyze team performance, patient care trends, and departmental needs to identify opportunities for improvement</li>\n\t<li>Support ongoing staff education, competency development, and continuing education initiatives</li>\n\t<li>Attend leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning, operational improvements, and departmental growth initiatives</li>\n\t<li>Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional culture aligned with UVS core values</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h2><strong>What We&#39;re Looking For</strong></h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required</li>\n\t<li>Veterinary medicine experience required</li>\n\t<li>Demonstrated clinical knowledge and strong technical veterinary skills</li>\n\t<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Veterinary Technology Management, Management, or a related field preferred</li>\n\t<li>Experience leading teams in an emergency or specialty veterinary environment strongly preferred</li>\n\t<li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word</li>\n\t<li>Experience working with electronic medical record systems preferred</li>\n\t<li>Exceptional communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills</li>\n\t<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>\n\t<li>Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and motivate team members</li>\n\t<li>Ability to implement change while maintaining team engagement and operational efficiency</li>\n\t<li>Commitment to professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement</li>\n\t<li>Alignment with UVS core values of Dedication, Compassion, and Knowledge</li>\n\t<li>Demonstrated commitment to Mutual Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, and Trust</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h2><strong>Schedule</strong></h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Full-time, exempt position</li>\n\t<li><strong>Sunday&ndash;Wednesday, 12:00 PM&ndash;10:00 PM</strong></li>\n\t<li>Schedule may be adjusted based on departmental and hospital operational needs</li>\n\t<li>Flexibility to support business needs, staffing requirements, and departmental initiatives as necessary</li>\n\t<li>Availability to support staff and operational needs outside of regularly scheduled hours when needed</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h2><strong>Compensation</strong></h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>$60,000&ndash;$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h2><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></h2>\n\n<p>This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care, team development, and hospital operations within one of the region&rsquo;s leading emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals.
