    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performs a broad range of construction related inspection activities to assure quality in road and bridge construction projects. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Inspects more difficult or extensive MDOT Local Agency Projects involving Federal Aid Funding requiring detailed reporting and recordkeeping.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain project records that are subject to audit by MDOT and FHWA in addition to all normal inspectional requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Provides direction and coordinates the work of other inspectors (including third party contractors) when required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Calculate volumes and areas of complex shapes to track material quantities. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Special Experience/Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> A High School Diploma or equivalent with math training sufficient to perform field and laboratory tests.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction inspection, commensurate with the duties described above. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience with AASHTOWare Project and FieldManager is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan driver license.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Disclosure</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This position is within a bargaining unit and the individual that holds this position is subject to the terms and conditions of the existing collective bargaining agreement.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Disclaimer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Attractive benefits package</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">EOE/ADA/Drug Free Workplace</span></li>\n</ul>",
