This is a permanent contract. This posting reflects an existing vacancy. JOB PURPOSE This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing and Communications Manager to lead strategic communications initiatives supporting major business priorities and regulatory launches for eBay's Global Regulatory team. This role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment, enjoys collaborating with senior leaders, and can connect multiple communications channels into cohesive, high-impact campaigns. The successful candidate brings strong corporate and technology-sector experience, exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, and a polished, proactive approach. We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with execution excellence — and who brings positive energy, curiosity, and a genuinely engaging personality to the team. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Develop and execute integrated communications strategies to support business objectives and regulatory initiatives Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior executives and internal stakeholders Manage communications timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination Create polished executive presentations and strategic storytelling materials in Google Slides Lead the development of communications materials including: Fact sheets Executive messaging Direct mail campaigns Internal and external content Social media content Launch communications Developing Google decks Understanding of data analytics Partner with and direct external agencies on creative development, video production, and campaign execution Provide communications guidance and strategic counsel across multiple teams and initiatives Ensure messaging consistency across all communications channels Manage staff of 2 people Oversee content management and support campaign execution from planning through delivery Maintain a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail WHAT YOU BRING: 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, strategic communications, or related fields Experience working within the technology sector or fast-paced corporate environments Proven ability to work effectively with senior executives and leadership teams Strong people management and team leadership experience Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills Advanced presentation development skills, particularly in Google Slides Experience managing integrated communications campaigns across multiple channels Background directing agencies and managing video/content production projects Strong understanding of social media strategy and communications best practices Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Exceptional organizational and project management abilities Highly proactive, polished, and detail-oriented Comfortable building relationships and engaging stakeholders over Zoom and in person Preferable attributes: Strategic thinker who can connect the dots across communications channels and audiences Self-starter who takes initiative and drives projects forward Collaborative and relationship-oriented with strong executive presence Brings a positive attitude, strong emotional intelligence, and an engaging, approachable personality Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and timelines Work environment: Hybrid work model with 2–3 in-office days per week Collaborative and cross-functional team environment Opportunity to lead high-visibility communications initiatives impacting key business priorities Lots of great team activities and career development opportunities The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 CAD.
