To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen. </p>\n<h2>The Opportunity</h2>\n<p>The Install Manager of FP&A is a critical finance leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis across the business. This individual will partner closely with operations to translate project activity, including Work-in-Progress (WIP), job costing, and Gantt-based project timelines, into accurate financial insights and forward-looking forecasts.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role is highly visible within the organization and plays a key part in supporting a PE-backed growth strategy, including M&A integration, margin expansion, and operational efficiency initiatives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and brings a balance of technical finance expertise, strong business partnership, and process improvement mindset. This role will establish foundational FP&A infrastructure where formal processes are nascent.</p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead company-wide budgeting and forecasting processes, incorporating project-level drivers such as backlog, pipeline conversion, labor capacity, and installation timelines</p></li>\n <li><p>Heavily engaged in WIP reporting and analysis, including job cost tracking, percent-complete revenue recognition, margin fade/gain identification, and project profitability</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor WIP aging, flag stale or at-risk jobs, and drive resolution of open items</p></li>\n <li><p>Partner with operations and project management teams to align financial forecasts with Gantt chart schedules, milestone progress, and field execution realities</p></li>\n <li><p>Oversee monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis of actual vs. budgeted performance across both corporate functions and project-based operations</p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinate with Accounting on month-end close activities: accruals, revenue recognition, unbilled receivables, and billings-in-excess</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop and maintain reporting around backlog, bookings, burn rate, and project lifecycle metrics to improve visibility into revenue timing and cash flow</p></li>\n <li><p>Drive automation and process improvements within FP&A, particularly around integration of project management systems (e.g., scheduling tools, job costing systems) into financial reporting</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Bring to the Table</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>5–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or investment banking, with at least 3 years supporting a project-based business</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with WIP accounting, job costing, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with project scheduling tools and Gantt chart-based planning</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to translate operational timelines into financial forecasts</p></li>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA a plus</p></li>\n <li><p>Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL); experience integrating operational/project data into financial reporting is a strong plus</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong understanding of consolidated financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow</p></li>\n <li><p>Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of ownership and urgency in a fast-paced, evolving environment</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and partner effectively with operations, project management, and executive leadership</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What Will Make You Stand Out?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You have an MBA, CPA, or another advanced degree or certification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.</li>\n <li>You have experience working in a private equity-backed environment with exposure to scaling operations, integrations, and more advanced reporting expectations.</li>\n <li>You have a background supporting a multi-location, field service, construction, or operationally complex business.</li>\n <li>You have prior involvement in financial systems improvements, reporting automation, or building new FP&A processes and dashboards. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Beyond the Paycheck</h2>\n<p>At Encore, we’re all about creating a culture where success is celebrated.
