About the role
Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking a Research Scientist – Preclinical pharmacology to support the Pharmacology team. This will be a permanent role for the right candidate with ample opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to innovative drug development projects. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive individual with a background in life sciences and a collaborative mindset who thrives in a fast-paced biotech environment.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate the execution of in vitro and in vivo preclinical studies by interfacing with internal scientific teams and external CROs; ensure alignment on study design, timelines, logistics, and data collection to support key development milestones
Support study start-up and execution by reviewing and organizing study plans, protocols, contracts and communication workflows
Manage procurement, shipment, and inventory processes for reagents, samples, and study-related materials
Perform literature review, data analysis and support preparation of reports, presentations, and dashboards to aid project tracking and decision-making
Essential qualifications
PhD in a scientific discipline such as biology, biomedical sciences or a related field
At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience managing preclinical research projects, preferably in cancer biology and immunology, within biotech, pharma, or academic settings
Prior experience of working in a CRO environment
Proficiency in MS office and data analysis tools such as GraphPad
Prior experience of working in a CRO environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Mandarin to facilitate effective collaboration with external stakeholders and CROs, including those based in China
Desirable qualifications
Background or experience working with therapeutic antibodies and or antibody-drug conjugates
