Our portfolio is filled with household favourites, and our passion for innovation and quality drives everything we do.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Role</span><br>As Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of transactional finance across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on role spanning month-end, tax compliance, and financial control, with exposure across multiple entities and close collaboration with operations and the wider finance team.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver accurate, timely month-end close across journals, accruals and reconciliations</li>\n<li>Manage core transactional finance including receivables, banking and cashflow forecasting</li>\n<li>Partner with operations to ensure integrity of procurement, inventory and warehouse transactions</li>\n<li>Prepare NZ GST returns and support AU BAS, PAYG and payroll tax compliance</li>\n<li>Support group tax, transfer pricing and statutory reporting requirements</li>\n<li>Assist with audits and financial statement preparation</li>\n<li>Provide guidance and backup support to Accounts Payable and purchasing processes</li>\n<li>Contribute to group reporting (HFM), FX revaluations and cash reporting</li>\n<li>Participate in a group-wide ERP implementation project</li>\n<li>Support cross-functional initiatives and the wider finance team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About You</span></p>\n<p>You’re a proactive, detail-driven accountant who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and improving how things are done. You’re confident working across both transactional and technical accounting, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced FMCG environment.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You will bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3–5+ years’ experience in financial or commercial accounting, ideally within FMCG</li>\n<li>CA/CPA qualified (or working towards completion)</li>\n<li>Strong month-end and technical accounting capability</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of NZ and AU tax compliance (GST, BAS, PAYG)</li>\n<li>Experience with large ERP systems (Dynamics AX/D365 preferred)</li>\n<li>High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Apply?</span></p>\n<p>At Walter &amp; Wild, we bring together people who are commercially savvy, care about others, and thrive in a fast paced, purpose driven environment.
