    "description": "<h2> </h2>\n<p>Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Hydrologic & Hydraulic Project Manager with 5+ years of experience for a position in our Water Discipline out of our Suffern, NY office location. The position will focus on projects that involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in complex urban environments and integrating coastal, riverine, and piped infrastructure flooding environments.</p>\n<h2> </h2>\n<p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Typical projects include:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Rainfall-runoff models to support dam safety, climate resilience planning</li>\n  <li>Evaluation of complex hydraulic settings, including combinations of open channel, piped infrastructure, rain-on-grade, and coastal flooding</li>\n  <li>Reservoir mass balance modeling incorporated into innovative client/user interfaces</li>\n  <li>Dam safety related projects such as design flood identification, dam rehabilitation alternatives analyses, breach analyses, and inundation mapping</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Supervise, train, and mentor less experienced project engineers and designers</li>\n <li>Support the evaluation, study, and design of stormwater systems for municipal clients, including providing stormwater master planning services and designs to support both flood mitigation and water quality improvements</li>\n <li>Provide field evaluation and assessment of existing stormwater infrastructure</li>\n <li>Support the design of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions for treatment of stormwater</li>\n <li>Conduct and coordinate analyses and computer-aided evaluations of surface water systems, including watersheds, rivers, and lakes</li>\n <li>Model and design stormwater BMPs, green infrastructure, and LID projects</li>\n <li>Prepare FEMA Letter of Map Revision applications</li>\n <li>Participate in site project designs</li>\n <li>Communicate and prepare written, verbal, and technical information clearly and effectively with clients and internal multidisciplinary teams</li>\n <li>Assist with business development, marketing, and proposal preparation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you will bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or similar degree is required. Master’s is a plus</li>\n <li>5+ years’ experience of surface water hydrology and collection system hydraulics</li>\n <li>Experience developing HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, and ICM, as well as 2D (required experience) and 3D (preferred experience) numerical modeling</li>\n <li>Experience developing models to support a wide range of project types, such as stormwater drainage infrastructure and BMP design, green infrastructure and LID projects, coastal flooding analyses, and dam safety projects</li>\n <li>Certified Floodplain Manager preferred</li>\n <li>Project management experience, to include technical oversight and QA/QC experience</li>\n <li>Marketing, proposal development and client management experience preferred</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license is required for limited travel to client meetings</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary Range: $95,400 - $122,110 based on experience   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Weston & Sampson is an 100% employee-owned, full-service environmental and infrastructure consulting firm made up of more than 1,000 professionals, who work together to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for our clients.
