Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Modular Architecture & MBSE:</strong> Translate complex Army requirements into modular solutions using SysML. Develop model libraries and profiles to serve as the Authoritative Source of Truth for system-of-systems.</li>\n <li><strong>Interface Control & Interoperability:</strong> Identify logical boundaries and system interfaces to enable seamless component interchangeability.</li>\n <li><strong>Standards Implementation & Policy:</strong> Apply open standards (e.g., SOSA, DoDAF, and UAF) to practical hardware/software builds. Draft and refine DoD systems engineering guidance and technical criteria for MOSA implementation across Programs of Record.</li>\n <li><strong>Digital Engineering Lifecycle:</strong> Design and manage digital threads, integrating MBSE with Product Lifecycle Management and DevSecOps stacks.</li>\n <li><strong>Business Analysis:</strong> Conduct trade-off studies and \"what-if\" assessments to balance modularity benefits against rapid deployment needs; defend MOSA business cases for milestone decisions.</li>\n <li><strong>Validation and Verification</strong>: Support the development of technical assessment frameworks and performance metrics to evaluate MOSA compliance throughout the systems engineering V-model.</li>\n <li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:</strong> Facilitate or engage in technical exchange meetings, potentially with various PAEs to drive digital convergence.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS/MS in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent technical industry experience).</li>\n <li>10+ years in Systems Engineering or Data Architecture with a focus on Architecture Patterns (Microservices, SOA, REST).</li>\n <li>Ability to lead the development of innovative approaches in modernizing systems engineering practices.</li>\n <li>Deep familiarity with ISO/IEC 15288 and DoD 5000 series acquisition policies.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to integrate requirements management with architectural models to ensure end-to-end traceability.</li>\n <li>Experience advising data rights strategies to ensure long-term competitive sourcing and avoid vendor lock-in.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of conformance tools and verification suites to ensure modularity throughout the Systems Engineering V-model.</li>\n <li>Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., No Magic Cameo, IBM Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Desirable Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience authoring or contributing to capability briefs or white papers on Digital Continuity and Mission Engineering.</li>\n <li>Experience with relevant hardware design and implementation (e.g., FPGA design, VHDL) and system simulation tools (e.g., Ansys ModelCenter, STK, or MATLAB/Simulink) to support Digital Engineering and MOSA compliance.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with SOSA, CMOSS or FACE frameworks within a DoD environment program.</li>\n <li>INCOSE CSEP/ESEP or DAWIA Level III Certification in Systems Engineering.</li>\n <li>Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to manage product backlogs for complex system designs.</li>\n <li>Active Secret.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hybrid – Primarily remote with occasional travel or onsite visits to a secure site. Ideal candidates live in San Antonio or the Baltimore MD area.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to obtain DoD Secret.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Target salary range: $123,000 - $211,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
