In general, the Group Lead will ensure Team Lead and Team Members adhere to all safety expectations, and policies regarding quality and productivity.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><p><u><strong>SAFETY</strong></u></p><p>· Monitor TLs and TMs for adherence to Safety rules, address concerns raised by TL’s.</p><p>· Train and ensure all Team Members perform pre-shift stretch exercises and follow proper ergonomics.</p><p>· Set up and rotate Team Members to avoid repetitive stress injuries.</p><p>· Monitor change-over activities</p><p>· Ensure Team Members have and wear proper PPE as defined for each work area.</p><p>· Adhere to and uphold all safety policies established.</p><p>· Enforce Stop-Call –Wait for any Equipment/machine/parts related safety concern.</p><p>· Report injuries or pains to Supervisor and implement and audit corrective actions/countermeasures as appropriate.</p><p><u><strong>QUALITY</strong></u></p><ul><li>Coordinate SWI/Production document improvements/revision control to ensure latest approved version is always used.</li><li>Begin/End Jobs in MATTEC. Audit to ensure scrap/downtime reasons are being entered by TM’s.</li><li>Perform quality checks on all parts throughout the shift periodically.</li><li>Spot audit TM’s in training.</li></ul><p><u><strong>PRODUCTIVITY</strong></u></p><ul><li>Monitor and analyze scrap, seeking to reduce/eliminate.</li><li>Assist the Supervisor with the management of all overtime for the shift.</li><li>Review OEE press by press per plan, escalate issues.</li><li>Identify material/finished goods packaging shortages, material run-out times.</li><li>Manage Mold Changes, track and mitigate.</li><li>Schedule and coordinate mold changes based on productivity needs as shown by Heijunka boards.</li><li>Ensure targeted OEE goals are achieved.</li><li>Assist in executing countermeasures to overcome constraints in reaching OEE targets.</li><li>Partner with Training and Development Administrator to ensure effective and efficient training for new hires occurs consistently, as well as cross training activities for other team members.</li><li>Complete required reports, accurately and in a timely fashion as requested by Supervisor</li><li>Ability to effectively coach, train and develop and engage team members to meet KPI expectations.</li><li>Enforcing use of Standard Work Instructions (SWI’s)</li><li>Ability to problem solve proficiently and conduct root cause analyses (RCA’s)</li><li>Attain the daily production schedule required (85% OEE)</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>",
