Whether a planned project or an emergency response, Mersino meets challenges with expertise, equipment, and service. &nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>We move water.</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Putnam, CT</strong></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>The primary responsibilities of the Bypass Technician are to provide support for bypass and fusing operations by completing simple HDPE fusion as well as setup, installation, removal, and teardown of bypass systems at jobsites, and to assist in mobilization and demobilization to and from jobsites. The Bypass Technician will generally work under the direct supervision of a Fusion Technician II or higher and will serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team&rsquo;s success.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Typical Duties and Responsibilities &ndash; Technician I:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Enroll in Mersino&rsquo;s Butt Fusion Certification program up to 24&rdquo; diameter pipe; complete simple straight run fusion under direct supervision</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Set up the fusion machine under guidance from a Fusion Technician to learn how to set proper hydraulic pressures and heat plate temperatures for the pipe that will be fused</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Perform daily visual and weekly documented equipment inspections of the fusion machine; learn basic fusion machine maintenance such as oil changes, filter changes, hydraulic fluid changes, and general care of the machine</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Complete Mersino&rsquo;s forklift certification program for rough terrain forklifts; move pumps, compressors, generators, hoses, and other equipment under supervision utilizing proper rigging, lift, and suspended load procedures</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Complete bypass and fusing operational support activities with little supervision including laying out pipes, bolting flanges, and moving and preparing other materials on site</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Independently identify components of pumps and pumping systems such as pipes, fittings, sizes, etc.</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Ensure proper use of specialty tools such as chainsaws, including safety procedures and required PPE</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"none\" lang=\"EN-US\">Learn how to properly operate, troubleshoot, and maintain pumps, pumping equipment, and generators including how to start, power up, monitor, inspect, etc.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Set up and tear down equipment and systems for assigned projects</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Load, unload and transport materials and equipment to/from job sites</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Complete minor repairs of equipment on site as well as preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles or equipment as directed and as required</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Perform refueling activities for equipment on site under direct supervision, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed throughout the process</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Clean, organize and maintain jobsites, yard and shop areas as required</span></li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\">Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards;
