At Bridges of America we &#8220;Believe a Man Can Change. &#8220;Join us in changing lives at our <strong><em><u>Bradenton Bridge</u></em></strong>&#160;location.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for inspiring, helping and challenging people and we want you to be a part of our Clinical team as a <strong><em><u>Counselor.</u></em></strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of the job description are followed and adhered to.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Responsible for understanding and executing the positions responsibilities as described in the Counselor&#8217;s Handbook and the Company policies.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Complete and maintain all required clinical documentation per The Company policy, Counselor Handbook and the F.A.C. 65-D-30.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Facilitate Phase I, II, and III groups per program manuals and the Company policy.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Complete case management on each client as necessary.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Attend all staff meetings and scheduled Phase III clinicals.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Work toward certification as a CAP and/or take necessary courses to maintain certification on an annual basis.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Be available for emergency counseling sessions with any client while on shift.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Be available to work all shifts to ensure proper coverage per contract and policy standards.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Clock in and out utilizing the company time and attendance system</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Must be able to perform the major functions of job with or without an accommodation.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Required to attend all mandatory training specified by policy.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Must be able to speak, read write and understand English.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Report all workers compensation injuries, whether they require medical attention or not, to their immediate supervisor, the Business Administrator or the Director immediately.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Report all breaches of company policy or code of ethics that you have knowledge of, hear about or see regardless of who is involved in the breach to your immediate supervisor or Executive Director immediately.Or HR Department when necessary.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Report all unsafe conditions that could affect clients/inmates or employees which you become aware of to your immediate supervisor or Executive Director immediately.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>To be eligible for a promotion to a supervisory position you must demonstrate organizational abilities and must have good written and oral communication skills.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>To be eligible for promotion to a supervisory position you must attend supervisory/team building training.This can be accomplished by checking out &#8220;How to Supervise People&#8221; CD from the corporate office and passing all tests with a minimum score of 80%.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of job description are followed and adhered to.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n</ol>",
