    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As a <strong>DevSecOps Engineer,</strong> you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build and release management, CI/CD practices, deployment orchestration, and process automation.</p>\n<h2>Contributions</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automation</li>\n <li>Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers</li>\n <li>Automating and improving development, testing, deployment, and release management processes</li>\n <li>Coordinating and supporting application and infrastructure releases across development, test, and production environments</li>\n <li>Supporting release planning, deployment execution, rollback procedures, post-release validation activities, and deployment readiness across multiple environments</li>\n <li>Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results</li>\n <li>Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats</li>\n <li>Identifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and fixes</li>\n <li>Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and releases are deployed reliably and efficiently</li>\n <li>Supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, release orchestration, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD</li>\n <li>Documenting the as-is state of the environment, performing a gap analysis, and producing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations</li>\n <li>Leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to optimize and modernize software systems</li>\n <li>Acting as an individual contributor and mentoring junior team members</li>\n <li>Working with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools</li>\n <li>Engineering and implementing solutions and providing recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided</li>\n <li>Presenting regular status updates and providing cross-training to other DevSecOps team members regarding deployment, release, and automation processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of total experience</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages</li>\n <li>3+ years of hands-on DevSecOps experience within Agile software development environments</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience implementing containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and release automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or TravisCI</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration</li>\n <li>Experience supporting application deployments, release coordination, and environment management in Agile or DevSecOps environments</li>\n <li>Experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional testing into CI/CD pipelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certifications: \n  <ul>\n   <li>AWS Certified DevOps Engineer </li>\n   <li>Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate </li>\n   <li>SAFe DevOps Certification </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including Selenium</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills</li>\n <li>Experience documenting the as-is state of an environment, performing gap analyses, and producing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations</li>\n <li>Experience scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby</li>\n <li>Experience with automation tools including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>About <strong>steampunk</strong></h2>\n<p>Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $175,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
