    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>Purpose</strong><br>The Ride Attendant is responsible for operating assigned ride in a safe manner, in accordance with all policies and procedures. This position requires close contact with the public, the ability to work well with co-workers, and assists Santa&rsquo;s guests in a safe, courteous and efficient manner. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Functions and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Operates ride in a safe manner, while following all policies and procedures</li><li>Attends morning meeting daily</li><li>Ensures safety of all employees and guests</li><li>Greets guests courteously</li><li>Announce ride operation instructions to all guests on ride in a clear, loud, friendly manner</li><li>Maintain a positive attitude, is a positive role model&nbsp;</li><li>Arrive at work on time, in &ldquo;good show,&rdquo; and keeps neat and clean throughout the day.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge and Skills</strong></p><ol><li>Must be attentive and focused to ensure guest safety&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of ride safety rules and height restrictions.</li><li>Have ability to learn digital operating systems on company iPads.</li><li>Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers.</li><li>Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language.</li></ol><p><strong>Extent of Public Contact<br></strong>The Ride Attendant will interact with guests, assist with inquiries, and help ensure a pleasant visit for all.</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong><br>Position requires frequent reaching, stretching, stooping and climbing up and down stairs. Much of the workday consists of standing and walking. &nbsp; Many of our rides either have a spinning feature or you are exposed to heights so the ideal candidate must be able to operate a ride in that environment. Often this person will be required to lift boxes weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.<br>Must have the following physical capabilities to ensure guest safety on any given ride:</p><ul><li><strong>Quick Response Time</strong>: Reacts swiftly in the event of an emergency or to help guests onto and off rides.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Manual Labor</strong>: Operates control panels, secures ride restraints, and assists with safety checks.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Physical Stamina</strong>: Stands for long periods, walks, and sometimes lifts or moves objects.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions and Environment</strong><br>Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. &nbsp; Position is mostly outdoors.&nbsp;</p><p>Ride Attendants may work in any of the following extreme weather situations:</p><ul><li><strong>Summer &ndash; Hot and Humid Conditions:</strong><ol><li>Attendants will work in hot and sunny weather, often with high humidity, especially in summer months</li></ol></li><li><strong>Rain and Stormy Weather</strong><ol><li>Attendants may have to work in light rain or deal with temporary ride closures due to more severe weather like thunderstorms or heavy rain.</li></ol></li><li><strong>Windy Conditions</strong><ol><li>In areas with frequent winds, attendants may need to monitor weather conditions to ensure safe operation of rides, as some attractions could be closed or restricted during high winds.</li></ol></li><li><strong>Winter &ndash; Cold Conditions</strong><ol><li>Attendants may be required to work in low temperatures, possibly with snow or ice.</li><li>Will need to dress warmly, including wearing layers, gloves, hats, and appropriate outerwear.</li><li>Depending on the location, there may be wind chill factors or occasional snow, which could impact visibility and comfort.</li></ol></li></ul><p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must be 16 years of age or older</li><li>Must be able to exhibit <u>all</u> physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift</li><li>Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>9:15am - 5:15pm - Full Shift<br/>11:45am - 4:30pm - Lunch Replacement Shift",
