In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of client properties, personnel, and assets. You will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service while maintaining strong security practices and compliance with established policies and procedures.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and capable of effectively managing both routine operations and emergency situations. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a customer-focused mindset are essential for success in this role.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2><strong>Security Guard</strong></h2>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Surrey, BC<strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $21.00 per hour<strong>Schedule:</strong> Thursday to Sunday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Monitor and dispatch security personnel based on incident type and urgency</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct CCTV monitoring and surveillance operations</p></li>\n <li><p>Receive, assess, triage, and escalate security-related incidents</p></li>\n <li><p>Respond to sensitive or high-risk situations with professionalism, tact, and discretion</p></li>\n <li><p>Escalate critical incidents immediately to supervisory staff when required</p></li>\n <li><p>Support incident response activities as directed by supervisors or authorized personnel</p></li>\n <li><p>Report urgent matters, including life-safety incidents, in a timely and accurate manner</p></li>\n <li><p>Follow all Allied Universal® and client procedures, policies, and directives</p></li>\n <li><p>Collect, document, and report incident data accurately and in a timely manner</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed records and reports</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to supervisors</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform other related duties as assigned</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Experience working in high-risk or critical environments where decision-making impacts life safety and operational continuity</p></li>\n <li><p>Prior CCTV monitoring experience is required</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment</p></li>\n <li><p>Availability to work all days of the week, including day and overnight shifts</p></li>\n <li><p>Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in security or dispatch operations</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Education & Experience</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Post-secondary education or relevant certifications considered an asset</p></li>\n <li><p>Minimum of 2 years of related work experience, ideally in the security industry or a dispatch/control center environment</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Physical & Working Conditions</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Regular use of hands and frequent standing, sitting, bending, speaking, and listening</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to read and interpret computer screens, reports, and written communication in English</p></li>\n <li><p>Frequent walking and standing; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs</p></li>\n <li><p>May be required to climb stairs during site visits</p></li>\n <li><p>Work is primarily performed in an office/control environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions (rain, cold, heat)</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be able to focus in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities under pressure</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or emergency situations</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Closing</h2>\n<p><strong>Allied Universal®</strong> provides unparalleled services, systems, and solutions to individuals and businesses within our communities and is the leading security services provider in North America.
