    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<b>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</b>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs all respiratory care modalities in the treatment of pulmonary disease and disorders, adhering to all department and hospital required license(s), certifications, regulatory agency requirements.</li>\n<li>Performs bedside diagnostic tests and assessments to evaluate the extent of pulmonary dysfunction.</li>\n<li>Manages and monitors mechanical ventilation and artificial airways.</li>\n<li>Participates in cardiac arrest/respiratory arrest code situations and assists with intubation.</li>\n<li>Maintains a working knowledge of department standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.</li>\n<li>This includes the knowledge of specialized equipment and related computer systems.</li>\n<li>Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct.</li>\n<li>Supports the department mission.</li>\n<li>Participates in the continuous quality improvement process.</li>\n<li>Position may require travel between various Hoag Hospital (Hoag) locations and its affiliates.</li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<b>Home Health:</b>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs all respiratory care modalities in the treatment of pulmonary disease and disorders.</li>\n<li>Performs bedside diagnostic tests and assessments to evaluate the extent of pulmonary dysfunction.</li>\n<li>Maintains a working knowledge of department standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.</li>\n<li>This includes the knowledge of specialized respiratory equipment.</li>\n<li>Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct.</li>\n<li>Supports the department mission.</li>\n<li>Participates in the continuous quality improvement process.</li>\n<li>Position requires travel to patient homes for respiratory therapy visits.</li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>",
