Making sure hazards are clear of walkways and thresholds are marked</li><li style='color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;'>Cleaning: Vessel needs to be cleaned at the beginning of day, between trips, and at the end of the day. Special procedures need to take place in cleaning if there has been an incident or if an ill person has been on the vessel. Heads are to be kept clean throughout the day as well as shore restrooms.</li><li style='color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;'>Tying up vessel, performing drills up to US Coast Guard standards</li><li style='color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;'>Engine room checks: Safety of the machinery in the engine room relies heavily on the deckhands observations during checks. They are to write down all gauge numbers and use trained skills to detect if something is amiss. Reporting to the captain after each engine room check is crucial.</li><li style='color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;'>Ticket Sales: Have competent skills in order to sell, write, and troubleshoot credit card issues, utilize Fare Harbor to process ticket sales</li><li style='color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;'>Conversing with passengers: Taking photos, making guests feel welcome, listen to people as they share about their experiences in Alaska.
