With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>The Process Controls & Automation Technician plays a critical role in ensuring uptime and process optimization through advanced troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and programming of control systems and related electrical/electronic equipment. This role focuses on SCADA, PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and automation systems and ensures compliance with ISO standards and internal documentation practices.</p>\n<h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Troubleshoot, repair, and install PLC-based control systems (primarily Siemens and GE Fanuc; some Allen Bradley).</li>\n <li>Maintain and update SCADA systems, including iFix and iHistorian platforms.</li>\n <li>Perform backups of PLC and drive programs to ensure disaster recovery preparedness.</li>\n <li>Calibrate and verify instrumentation to meet ISO compliance and process control standards.</li>\n <li>Install, commission, and maintain VFDs, including tuning and programming.</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement projects by modifying or upgrading existing automation systems.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and resolve control issues quickly to minimize downtime.</li>\n <li>Interpret and update schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.</li>\n <li>Use computer systems to track and manage parts and work orders.</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with NFPA 70E, LOTO, and all site safety policies.</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education / Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related field preferred• Will accept a minimum of 3 years of relevant controls, automation, or industrial maintenance experience in lieu of degree</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Skills & Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong proficiency with Siemens and GE Fanuc PLCs</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs</li>\n <li>Experience with SCADA software (iFix preferred) and data historians (iHistorian)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)</li>\n <li>Instrumentation calibration experience (temperature, pressure, flow, level)</li>\n <li>Strong electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading skills</li>\n <li>Experience with ISO-compliant maintenance practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Competencies</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and documentation</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Effective communicator and team collaborator</li>\n <li>Proactive and self-directed with time management abilities</li>\n <li>Continuous improvement mindset</li>\n <li>Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various industrial environments</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements & Work Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 75 lbs.), climb stairs/ladders, and work in elevated or tight spaces</li>\n <li>Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, and rotating equipment</li>\n <li>Must be able to work 8-hour day shift Monday through Friday.</li>\n</ul>",
