We operate as a collective, where excellence, expertise, and creativity are valued by all.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">The crew you’ll join </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Under the supervision of the FX Supervisor, the FX artist is responsible for the design, creation and production of digital visual effects and various simulations using Houdini. This role is mainly focusing on water simulation.</span></span><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">The script</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold\">What your day will look like ?</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Create a wide range of stylized visual effects such as fluids, cloth, particles, pyro, magical and rigid body dynamics using Houdini.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with the Supervisor to understand the FX needs of individual shots and sequences in order to achieve technical and artistic objectives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communicate effectively with the supervisor and the production coordinator keeping them appraised of shot progress, technical issues and anticipated challenges.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Adapt simulations to match the specific \"look\" of the film, whether it’s hyper-realistic or highly stylized (Non-Photoreal).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(45, 45, 45); font-size: 10pt\">Organize, manage and maintain the simulation files that have been created.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Optimize simulations and renders to be efficient Ensure within the production resources and constraints without sacrificing visual quality. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Your credits</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">More than 5 years' experience as an FX artist ideally in animated movies performing stylized simulations or in live action shows working on photoreal effects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">High proficiency in Houdini.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Good understanding of physics and natural phenomena, especially water simulation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Knowledge of VEX scripting or python is a benefit.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Knowing how to create, manage, document and maintain HDAs/OTLs is a benefit.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Production experience with Solaris and USD workflow is a benefit.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Production experience with RenderMan, Arnold or equivalent modern raytrace renderers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Production experience with Gaffer, Katana is a benefit.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience with lighting,rendering and look developing FX.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience with compositing and integrating FX elements in Nuke.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with other areas of the production pipeline (modeling, animation/rigging, lighting, compositing) is an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Multitask and work productively in a fast paced  environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">The filmmaking experience at Cinesite</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Immerse yourself in a creative and inspiring world where you evolve every day in a collaborative and inclusive environment.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain a balance between professional and personal life. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Actively contribute to Cinesite's success by sharing your expertise and passion with colleagues and Cinesite partners. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">We have fully embraced hybrid work, offering our employees the flexibility to work from home, at the studio, or alternate between the two (with exceptions).</span></li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.cinesite.com/our-culture-2/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Learn more about our culture here.</span></a></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">To Apply </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Candidate experience is at the heart of our processes, guided by our values of fairness, empathy, and transparency.
