This position will be responsible for creating new part designs to reduce installation time, increase build quality and prevent future warranty claims. This position will also require the associate to review and help streamline production processes to reduce build time and increase quality by removing waste from the process.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop new products using 3D modeling software (SolidWorks)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create detail drawings of 3D models (SolidWorks)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with materials team to ensure parts are ordered and delivered on time to production.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Analyze current production processes to find waste in the process.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Formulate with team members a process to reduce found waste.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Review drawings from body manufacturers to ensure fitment during installation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with chassis procurement team to implement measures that will decrease production time.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create production drawings for the final assemblers to use.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create layout drawings for the sales team to secure customer orders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Any other assignments as required.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read and comprehend part drawings and wiring or hydraulic schematics.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Microsoft Office software &ndash; especially Excel and Word</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
