    "description": "<p>Assist Ambulance is looking for drivers with a passion for healthcare to join us at our Bronx location as part-time or full-time MVOs (Motor Vehicle Operators) working alongside Emergency Medical Technicians to provide exceptional emergency medical services with Basic Life Support. This is a very interactive job that will require interactions with patients, staff members, and involves lifting and carrying patients, in addition to safely driving the ambulance throughout all five boroughs.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Assist Ambulance will train and evaluate drivers according to Assist's safe driving policies and procedures. If you are not already, Assist will also get you certified in CPR to be able to start driving the ambulance and providing care to patients alongside the EMT. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Must be at least 21 years old with 2 years driving experience in New York City</span><br></li>\n<li>Must have a valid New York State D Class driver’s license with no more than 6 points on your driving abstract </li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DJ licenses and out of state licenses are not accepted</span></li>\n<li>Must be willing to complete a CPR certification by date of hire<br></li>\n<li>Must be physically fit to lift 125 lbs. in accordance with the NYS DOH and pass a lifting assessment</li>\n<li>Must be able to get 19A physical clearance and negative PPD test (vouchers provided)</li>\n<li>Must pass two driving assessments</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screening</span></li>\n<li>Must be able to commit to at least two 8-hour shifts per week that are the same days every week (steady shifts)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Per diem is not available at this time, only part time or full time steady scheduling (same shifts every week)</span></li>\n<li>Must be good with people and able to act responsibly under extreme duress<br></li>\n<li><span>Applicants' criminal history will be considered consistent with the requirements of the New York City Fair Chance Act<br></span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation and Benefits:<br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5% annual raises and $1/hr bonus after 90 days for working 32+ hours or more any pay period </li>\n<li>Free uniforms</li>\n<li>Health insurance</li>\n<li>Paid training</li>\n<li>Paid sick time up to 56 hours per calendar year</li>\n<li>Paid holidays after 90 days - 6 paid holidays, paid at 8 regular hours for full time or 4 regular hours for part time</li>\n<li>Paid time off - 56 hours per calendar year</li>\n<li>Paid vacation - up to 40 hours at 1 year anniversary, 80 hours at 3 year anniversary, 120 hours at 6 year anniversary</li>\n<li>Free Certified Emergency Vehicle Operators certification, and VFIS driving assessment<br></li>\n<li>Union membership after 30 days - Benefits subject to change based on new union agreement with 1199 SEIU</li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><br></p>",
