    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Evening shifts - 8 or 10 hours&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>&nbsp;(overview of job): Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies, equipment and endoscopes by the department following established infection control practices. &nbsp;Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments with the hospital. &nbsp;Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties.</p><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:</strong> Knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of items and equipment used by the department. &nbsp;Knowledgeable with cleaning and sterilization procedures and technique. Basic understanding of various functions of the department. &nbsp;Conscientious regards for technical and minute procedures. &nbsp;Basic computer knowledge. Moderate stress.</p><p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong> High school diploma or GED preferred.</p><p><strong>LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY:</strong>&nbsp;Certification preferred or eligible within 18 months of hire.</p><p><strong>Aptitudes:&nbsp;</strong> Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers.
