    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Scrap Metal Processor </span></p>\n<p>We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Scrap Metal Processor to join our scrap yard team. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, helping customers, and working around equipment and metal recycling operations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist customers with unloading scrap metal from vehicles and trailers</li>\n<li>Sort scrap metal by type and place materials in the correct yard locations</li>\n<li>Prepare metals for processing using equipment such as balers, shears, forklifts, telehandlers, wire strippers, torches, and plasma cutters</li>\n<li>Sweep, shovel, blow, and perform general yard and equipment clean-up</li>\n<li>Weigh materials on the scale and complete customer tickets as needed</li>\n<li>Prepare vehicles for processing, including trash removal, designated part removal, and fluid removal/reclaiming</li>\n<li>Work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment</li>\n<li>\n</li></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li>\n<li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen</li>\n<li>Must have steel-toe boots</li>\n<li>Able to work 40+ hours per week, with overtime as needed</li>\n<li>Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods</li>\n<li>Able to lift, move, and handle heavy materials as needed</li>\n<li>Comfortable standing for long periods and working in loud environments</li>\n<li>Good communication and customer service skills</li>\n<li>Able to follow verbal directions and work independently or as part of a team</li>\n<li>Reliable attendance and punctuality</li>\n<li>Familiarity with OSHA safety standards preferred</li>\n<li>Previous customer service or scrap metal experience helpful, but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Schedule</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time, 40+ hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am-4:30pm</li>\n<li>Overtime may be required as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Benefits Package</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical</li>\n<li>401(k) with company match </li>\n<li>ESOP - (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) participation </li>\n<li>Paid time off and paid holidays</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">*In accordance with Washington State law, criminal history will not be requested or considered until later in the hiring process.  Any offer of employment may be contingent upon a background check conducted in accordance with applicable laws.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">**Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, which involves working on and around heavy equipment and vehicles, candidates may be required, as a condition of employment,  to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for substances that may impair safe job performance, in accordance with applicable laws.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>",
