Overview Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Diesel (Bus/Truck) Automotive Technician! The Diesel Auto Tech performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. The position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative and performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our quality standards. Minimal customer interaction involved. We are a multi-billion dollar industry leader that is rapidly expanding and growing with lots of opportunities, working toward our shared vision to be the world's best and most trusted mobility company! This position is located at our Service Center - 7001 Essington Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19153. We offer hourly pay - we are not a flat rate shop, get paid for the time you work. Total pay for this role is $36.00 / hour for: Diesel / Bus Auto Tech with 5 years of experience and 4 ASE certifications OR Diesel / Bus Auto Tech with 5 years of experience and 1 OEM bus/diesel certification With 12 months to complete 4 Diesel ASE certifications to maintain being a Diesel / Bus Auto Tech. We will pay for this training/testing while working for us. In addition, you can earn: $2.00 / hour for each additional Truck ASE certification. $5.00 / hour more working both Saturday and Sunday. $500 tool allowance every year! Yearly merit increases based on performance. We offer a robust Total Rewards   Package including, but not limited to: Paid Time Off , starting with 5 days upon hire and receiving a total of 12 days your first year, plus 6 holidays. Health, Dental, Vision insurance ; Life Insurance; Prescription coverage Employee discounts on car rentals, car purchases, and much more! 401(k) retirement plan with company match and profit sharing Paid ASE Testing Schedules (40 hours per week): Any 3 weekdays you choose: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, plus Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday thru Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Responsibilities Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines. Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs. Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections. Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment. Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles. Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts. Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair. Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures. Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools. May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs. Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training. Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards. Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a current and valid driver’s license. CDL preferred with passenger and air brake endorsements. Minimum of five years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks. Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment. Certifications required: 4 Truck ASE Certifications OR 1 OEM / bus certification training required with the commitment to complete 4 Truck ASE’s within 12 months. PA State Inspection license (required within the first 90 days of employment) Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English. Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. Must be able to work one of the following schedules: Any 3 weekdays: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, plus Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday thru Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM DOT Requirements: We are subject to certain Department of Transportation Regulations All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations. Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
