    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\"><br></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Covenant Christian High School (Indianapolis) seeks a Christian educator to fill a full-time role for the 2026-27 school year, teaching <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Science Teacher (Biology or Chemistry) </span>through a Christian worldview and in full support of its mission, vision, and core values. </span></span></span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Duties/Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Plans and develops an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom, adhering to educational best practices and state and school district curriculum guidelines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Designs and delivers individual lesson plans in one or more academic, technical, or vocational subjects using a variety of teaching techniques and appealing to various learning styles. </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Prepares materials for lessons, assignments, and tests; evaluates, corrects, and grades student performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Monitors students’ progress throughout the year and evaluates preparedness for graduation, vocational school, or college, as appropriate.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Collaborate with Academic Advisors, Academic Dean, Dean of Students, and the Science Department Head</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Administers standardized tests in accordance with district and state laws and policies.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Communicates progress and concerns with tact and professionalism to parents and, as appropriate, other faculty, staff, and/or principal.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Enforces safety and security standards for students, staff, and visitors.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Maintains required paperwork for individual student files, attendance and incident reports, and other necessary records.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Monitors halls, study periods, and lunchrooms with other faculty and staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, in-service opportunities, workshops, and other training seminars.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Performs related tasks such as sponsoring student activities or organizations.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Additional Duty opportunities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional duties could include directing Covenant's thriving HOSA program for future healthcare professionals.
